We had the good fortune of connecting with Kirsti Logan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kirsti, what is the most important factor behind your success?
WINE Wednesday is a bi-monthly networking event formed by a group of eight strong entrepreneurs who create an atmosphere of celebration and inclusion to all wedding industry professionals in the Colorado Springs region.
We strive for integrity, empowerment and kindness in all that we do to provide the most relaxing and enjoyable event for our fellow entrepreneurs.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
WINE Wednesday is a nonprofit networking group run by a board of volunteers. We set aside time from our small businesses we have created to spearhead this networking event collaboration so our fellow entrepreneurs can be supported.
We desire nothing more than to be an advocate, a resource and a safe space for fellow small business owners to come, be refreshed and to find the support they need for success in their businesses.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As special event connoisseurs, we expect nothing but the best for our friends and family! That being said, we would curate the finest event of small businesses to create the best possible week long excursion for our friends and family!
Venues like the Bar at Almagre for happy hour or live music on Wednesday nights at the Hillside Gardens. Thursday night happy hour at Goat Patch Brewery with the best taco truck in Colorado Springs Huevones Taco Truck. Piglatin Cocina for the best margaritas and 3 dollar island tacos on Tuesdays. Venetucci Farms for their You-Pick Flower Farms on Fridays and Saturdays during the summers thanks to Gather Mountain Blooms. Boutiques like Eclectic Co. downtown and OCC, oh and the farmers markets! Don’t even get me started on the Saturday markets in the summer time. And that’s just in Colorado Springs!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This group came to be thanks to our fierce founder, Maréa Janae; owner of Dream Catcher Weddings. She brought all eight founders together under the common goal of community over competition. She wanted a space where entrepreneurs could come to support one another in the chaos of a post pandemic small business start up.
She brought together Amy owner of Flourish Event Co., Amber owner of Out West Events, Felicia editor of Colorado Wedding Magazine, Mandy owner of 3Cord Meadows, Kirsti owner of the Sleepy Turtle Coffee Co., Sarah owner of the Planning Co., and Sarah the owner of Everlasting Weddings by Sarah.
Together, we formed Wedding Industry Networking Events. A bi-monthly networking event coordinated by two of our board committee leaders at a different venue every two months, showcasing different special event vendors each time.
We allow a space where our fellow entrepreneurs can be real, be vulnerable and have support from other vendors while relaxing, rejuvenating and making friends!
