We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Fish and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lauren, why did you pursue a creative career?
Since my early teen years, I was determined to work in the music industry. I loved music. I loved listening to it, seeing it, reading about it, showing my friends new music, looking into what my friends were listening to, etc.
In high school, my senior superlative was “most likely to ditch graduation for a concert.” Naturally, I had to leave the event early because I was going to see The Head And The Heart that night.
Throughout college, I had internships and jobs that involved music which led me to decide I wanted to get into the small festival business.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am an Entertainment Marketing Manager for Forefront Networks. We have two private events in Napa Valley, Live In The Vineyard and Live In The Vineyard Goes Country where we have had artists like Fergie, The Revivalists, Haim, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, and more. We also produce the Austin Trail of Lights, and Yountville Live amongst many other events around the world.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a total foodie! I take pride in being the friend that everyone asks where they should go when visitors are in town. My favorite spots are Hop Alley, Ash’Kara, Kobe An Lohi, One Fold, Fortune Wok to Table, Cuba Cuba, and Super Mega Bien. My favorite watering holes include Cerebral, Middleman, PS Lounge, and Thin Man.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely! My parents, Rich and Caley Fish have been incredibly supportive of me and my dream. They’re always there to celebrate my highs and pick me up on the lows. My love of music stems from them.
I would also like to give a shout out to my boss, Bobbii Jacobs! I am forever grateful to her for taking a chance on me, and constantly investing in me.
