We had the good fortune of connecting with Lian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lian, why did you pursue a creative career?
I started to pursue an artistic/creative career because of the insane amount of passion and creativity I have within myself and how i truly wanted to world to see me and what I do. Music was the one thing in life that has always kept me intrigued, from a very young age. From 3 to 5 years, I was playing piano and taking lessons and writing music in my free time, it is for me a true form of my expression in art.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have gotten here today from the encouragement from the people in my life, and never giving up on my passion. I always pushed myself musically and professionally put myself out there and be open to change. It was not easy to get here today, and I’m so grateful for the recognition of artists and producers, and for the people who follow me and my music, i see you and i am grateful to you. I want the world to know that in this industry, it is the hardest and it takes a lot to accomplish. But youll get there.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definietly want to take any of my friends/significant other to Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods. It is very fun and you get to just be in nature and relax, while also seeing a beautiful location. I would show them some of my favorite spots in Fort Collins, one of them being Old Town, downtown Fort Collins! It’s an extremely popular fun spot whether to shop, have food, walk around and see the local art, etc!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to thank my parents for supporting me from a very early age, i would love to thank the Spot Studio and Glenn Sawyer for recognizing my talent, pursuing me and my music, and helping me shape my music and who i am as an artist. I would love to thank my piano teacher for always pushing me and never telling me to give up, and my choir directors for helping shape my singing.
