We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindsey Leite and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lindsey, what do you attribute your success to?
Success to me means never giving up.

It means failing once, twice, multiple times but always getting up, dusting yourself off and keeping on, keeping on.
I live my life by mentally placing myself in a position of success and then just working at it until the mental picture lines up with reality.
I always tell my kids, when you give up, you’ve guaranteed you won’t succeed.
Also, never adopt a victim mentality. You are the boss of you as a dear friend likes to say.

Personal responsibility is exactly that, personal.

Own your successes and equally own your failures. View them as the opportunity to grow, develop character and improve. An opportunity like that is a gift. Take it.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m most proud of the community coffee shop we have become. A place to meet, talk, cry, laugh, study learn and be with one another. This has been intentional and certainly means we have made different choices than perhaps the drive through, caffeine injection model. This success has been hard at times, but my husband and I are a team. We are extremely different people and have hugely differing approaches to most things. But instead of this being our weakness, it has developed into our greatest strength- with each recognizing the unique talents and gifts we bring to our business, our marriage and our family.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We love living in Colorado. Highlights are Pikes Peak of course, with donuts at the summit. We enjoy the brew pubs and especially our local, Pikes Peak Brewing Company. The best margaritas in town are found at family owned, authentic Mexican, Jarrito Loco here in Monument. We are fortunate to have a wonderful local community of friends and customers.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am a Christian and strive to live my life by biblical principles. I’ve been inspired by the Bible of course, but also by great men and women of faith who have preached and taught the Word. Joseph Prince, Andrew Wommack, Jesse Du Plantis and Heidi Baker are all modern bible teachers who have inspired and encouraged my desire to be successful and leaving a lasting contribution to my family as well as the community I live in. .John G Lake and Smith Wigglesworth are men from the past whose stories and testimonies of great perseverance, courage under difficult conditions and forbearance in hardship demonstrate great character.
While I believe we should aspire to be who were were made to be at such a time as this, these excellent examples are worth considering and learning from.
