We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa Marie Wright and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lisa Marie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I had previously been a physician assistant for several years; however, after having my children, I decided to take a lifelong passion for photography and turn that passion into a full-blown career. I wanted a career that was intellectually challenging as well as creatively stimulating, and photography is the perfect juxtaposition.
What should our readers know about your business?
I’m here as an award-winning, published photographer to provide my clients with an individualized, luxury experience, by giving them precise direction to allow for the most natural, authentic & romantic moments to occur. My light and airy editing style offers the most timeless & true beauty for those who desire long-lasting memories to share for generations to come.
Of the past 15 years of my career, I’ve spent the last eight focusing on photographing luxury weddings in Colorado, California, Texas, & beyond. Since my husband and I got married in Telluride, I consider it the highest privilege to be able to capture life-lasting moments for couples who truly appreciate spectacular destination wedding locations. The epic San Juan Mountains of southwest Colorado and the town of Telluride are an absolute dream for those couples seeking out the most lavish mountain top wedding.
I’ve had the honor of being the wedding photographer at the elite venues at the Telluride Ski Resort, The Ritz Carlton, The Lodge at Torrey Pines and more.
Amy & Jordan Demos have been a pivotal part of my success through their excellent education!
My brand: My goal is to deliver light & airy, luxurious, timeless images.
My mission statement: CREATING TIMELESS BEAUTY BY CAPTURING AUTHENTIC MOMENTS IN THEIR MOST NATURAL FORM
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In Telluride, I’d say the follwoing: In the summer – hike Jud Wiebe, Bear creek, See forever to wasatch trail.
Enjoy a music festival.
In the winter- ski the heck out of the mountain.
The Sheridan Chophouse
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My oldest brother is truly the person who most influenced my decision to pursue photography as a career. My training has been a combination of a lot of factors; nonetheless, Amy & Jordan Demos are the keys players in my success in this industry and I’m so grateful for all of their education.
