We had the good fortune of connecting with Mandy Covington and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mandy, what are you inspired by?
I am truly inspired by anytime and everyone who have overcome difficult circumstances and made the choice to rise above it. Life isn’t easy and it’s super easy to get discouraged. The true art of hustling comes when you decide you want something better and refuse to let anything stop you.. I went from being homeless to a solid, stable life in 3 years time because I chose I did not want to ever be there again. That period of time almost destroyed me…. Which is what truly inspired me do something different and create the life I want and deserve. In return, I help others do the same thing.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Many people wonder why travel agents still exist Being an agent is more than just booking trips and making money. I build relationships with my clients in order to give them the perfect vacation and/or experience. I learn as much from them as they do from me. Building a travel business takes time.. Things started to really take off for me in January. My breakthrough moment came while booking a 30+ people destination wedding to the Dominican. It was then I decided to specialize in destination weddings. There are always challenges when you start something new. Its not easy to build a reputation and stand out for potential clients to choose you over thousands of other agents. Consistency and the drive for a better life is what keeps me going. I have a passion for traveling and experiencing new adventures in life. Being an agent not only helps me to experience these things but also helps others to experience and enjoy new things. The one thing that truly sets me apart is the relationship I build with my clients; fueled by my passion to give them an unforgettable experience.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

My biggest supporter has been life partner Robin Ronish…Robin was my roommate when I lost my house and he chose to stay with me and my kiddo. He has stayed by my side through thick and thin. He has been my biggest supporter and encouraged me each and every day. He has helped me build a beautiful life in which I can chase my dreams and do what I love. I absolutely cherish and love him. I could not have reached this place without him.

I also have to shout out to my business team. Archer and Evolution travel have given me the best tools and training for success. I also have some of the greatest partners and mentors that truly believe in helping others succeed which has inspired me to do the same with my business. So huge thank you to Natalie Jaramillo for sharing the opportunity with me, Lorilani Malia Feesago Tufele for pushing me and holding me accountable, and to Charles and Nikki Lee who are the biggest inspiration of all. They have paved the path for all of us to follow!
