We had the good fortune of connecting with Maricela Duarte and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maricela, what matters most to you?
The principle that matters most to me is simple, love. Love yourself, love others, love life and love it hard. We as humans are here to feel each area of the emotional spectrum. From the lowest of lows, to the highest of highs. In love, we can support others who are going through a dark area of that emotional spectrum. Love is a gift that we all have access to. A Universal language that can be felt all around the world. If we try our best to always start the day with love, we can find beauty and happiness in all we do. Love each moment, each breath, each sight, each person as if it were the first and last time you’d ever experienced such things. It makes this life experience so much more beautiful.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am most excited about empowering others through strengthening their faith. Not just on a Spiritual level, but building a faith and trust within themselves and utilizing it as a skill instead of just a word known when speaking about religion. Faith is one’s trust. If we do not trust ourselves, how can we trust others? Having the ability to understand the power of faith can open doors that one may have thought were permanently closed. I am just barely scratching the surface of my career. But if it were not for entering into the world of Reiki, I probably would have never stepped onto this path. It was a confusing road at first. Trying to accept forms of healing without feeling like I would be damned for eternity was a journey in itself and one that involved years of self healing. The journey of Reiki opened doors that led me to herbalism, astrology, angelology, and all things Spiritual. I then became a walking, talking collection of all these subjects that I still apply in all my work today. All the challenges became a dance that I had to learn to balance. Motherhood and personal success was difficult at times, but not impossible. Once again, my faith that all of this was happening for a reason was always there to motivate me each and everyday. The lessons that I have learned along the way is to always have boundaries. It is important to have set boundaries for yourself and for others. I always use the motto, “let your no mean no, and your yes mean, yes.” Be receptive, not deceptive. If others have something to say, let them speak. Even if you do not agree with what their beliefs are. Your truth is your integrity. Your words speak your values. Always taste your words before they leave your lips, because once something is said, you cannot ever take it back. Those who are meant to find me will find me at the right time and place. My products are crafted, infused specifically to help assist you along your Spiritual journey.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
To start, we would have a fresh cup of coffee. We would sit outside or by the window and take in the beginning of the day. Breakfast would be at Toast! My favorite little restaurant in Littleton. A Chai Tea and praline GF French toast is my go to!

Next we would take a drive down 8th Ave towards Capital Hill and walk the streets taking in all the beautiful architecture. I am very much a history nerd so the museum of natural history is a go to!

For lunch we’d stick to tacos and Cilantro’s off of Federal.
A tour of Central City, Black Hawk, Red Rocks, Morrison, Riverside Cemetery, the Masonic and Catholic Cemeteries in Black Hawk are all in order as well with some paranormal investigations for sure!
Idaho Springs will also be on the list, Steamboat Springs and Hotel Colorado. I would love to end the trip with a Moonlit horseback ride through the old mining towns. Oh! And I cannot forget about the Cave of the Winds in Colorado Springs!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
It may sound a little cliché, but if it were not for the Catholic Church, I would not be where I am today. Where many are pulling away from organized religion, I was raised with an understanding of Saints such as Mother Mary, Saint Benedict, Saint Michael, and so many more that really did bring me out of my darkest times. Growing up Catholic, I was introduced into a world of angels that only a select few really understand. These Saints and Archangels were my heroes and my saviors. They are like the Marvel heroes that we all love to watch in theaters, fighting each and every day for our safety and our peace.
