Meet Mario Garcia | Entrepreneur, Multi-Business Owner, Strength & Conditioning Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mario Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mario, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to have a meaningful impact on the community, regardless of the industry I would enter. I always knew that in order to truly make a difference and change in a community you care about, you have to be able to be hands on and make the difference happen directly from yourself. I graduated CSU \with a Bachelors of Health and Exercise science in May of 2023. Immediately after, I was offered an internship and position in the Strength and Conditioning department with the Los Angeles Dodgers MLB team. Once I returned, I knew then I wanted to start a business to help the community. When starting my first business, I was scared. I had people question me, laugh at me, and surround my thoughts with hypotheticals and doubt to drive me away from starting my business. I grew up coming from immigrant parents that were trying just as hard to figure it out as well, regardless of the scarceness of resources they had. Thankfully, they run a successful construction business called M&R Stone and Stucco to do custom home contracting with brick, stone, stucco, and more. I wanted to follow in their steps, but people tried to prevent me and prohibit me from taking the leap of faith. But then I thought, “the worse thing that can happen is I will simply stay in the same position I am currently in. On the other hand, the best thing that could happen is making a meaningful community impact with a successful business.” So I made my decision. That thought process is what drove me to start my own business and push to scale it bigger and bigger each and every day by having a direct impact to people’s lives. Now, I own 96 Mobile Car Detailing, Sigma Performance Center, Sigma Wear, and more simply because I let my actions speak for my destiny instead of my origins,

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Running a automotive detailing business, 96 Mobile Car Detailing, and 24/7 private training facility, Sigma Performance Center, is not for the faint hearted. Like any business, they started off slow. First, it was the stress of construction and getting it up and running, then followed the stress of keeping it alive. Like any business owner, I thought about throwing in the towel, but I knew I had to work it out. If this path wasn’t working, I had to pave and new one. It wasn’t easy, but it was definitely worth it. I had to figure it out, investigate, try, but best of all, fail. I have probably failed more times than most people have tried, and that is the best learning experience. I have never learned more from success than I have from failure. Growth is an uncomfortable experience, so if I am not failing or I am not uncomfortable, am I truly growing and leveling up? I learned that doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will. Why should I not take that risk? Why shouldn’t I try? Why shouldn’t I make my own way instead of finding one. If anyone is going to get anything from my story is to just go for it and gamble on yourself. Don’t find a way, make one. Nothing is scarier in this life than avoiding your full potential.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would for sure take them up to Horsetooth Reservoir to check out nature a little bit and the water. I would then take them to Panhandlers to grab a bite then to Old Town to walk around, check out and support local businesses. We would then go get a workout in at Sigma Performance Center, the best private training facility in Fort Collins hands down. If they want to go out at night, we would go back to Old Town to check out Lucky Joes and other places to get a drink and catch up. Before leaving, we would definitely have to go walk around CSU and get a glimpse of the beautiful campus! That is what I would do if they came to visit

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to start by giving my siblings special recognition. To my sisters Vanessa and Karla, thank you for your continuous love and support. It is because of the both of you I have always been able to accomplish anything as long as I give it my all, despite the odds and circumstances presented in my path. To my community and those who work with me, thank you for believing in me and for trusting me to provide a service and experience that is unique and unmatched to me. You all keep me going and remind me why I do what I do. Without you, my business and mission to the community would be meaningless. I am thankful and grateful for every single one of you. To my loving partner, Perla, thank you for always being there for me at the end of each and every day, whether it was the best day I could’ve asked for or the day I was simply just waiting for to end. You keep me grounded and help me enjoy the journey and give color to a world that seems black and white at times. To stop and smell the roses and live in the moment. You motivate and push me to dig deeper and rise higher than I thought was possible. You help me celebrate the highest highs and support me in the lowest lows. You remind me why I am living such a wonderful life and feel so blessed, and it is because of you. I don’t know how I can get through every day without your love and support, and for that I am extremely forever grateful. Te amo mas que nada mi vida. Finally, to my parents, Mario and Rosario. You two are the reason why I am in this position in the first place. You not only gave me wings, but wind to push me to fly when you couldn’t even give those to yourselves. You are the reason why I do what I do and continue to move forward and up. You both were willing to give up everything just to give me and my sisters a chance at a better life and to achieve our dreams. I owe you everything because you helped me achieve everything. Dad, you always taught me that if I am going to do something that means a lot to me, do not hold back and give it your all. It is because of giving it my all, I am where I am today. These are the fruits of your labor, and we are barely starting to harvest. Thank you ama y apa por darme todo, los quiero mucho.
