We had the good fortune of connecting with Marni Mae and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Marni, what principle do you value most?
What a fabulous question! I’m super passionate these days about 6 pillars of leadership I personally live by and deepen into every day. For me, leadership is anchored in these core pillars: integrity, responsibility, and possibility, urgency, risk, and vision. The three that I’m deepening into these days are Responsibility, Possibility, and Integrity!

INTEGRITY: The alignment of my outer world with my inner world. this principle goes beyond simply being on time or keeping my word. At its core, it’s about aligning my inner truth with my outward actions. There was a time when I saw myself as loving and compassionate, but others often perceived me as harsh or bulldozing. This dissonance highlighted the importance of integrity. By embracing it—finding magic in the mundane, being honest with myself, and welcoming feedback—I began to see how my internal intentions manifested externally. This shift transformed how people engaged with me, opening up a whole new realm of possibilities.

RESPONSIBILITY: Stepping into integrity required me to take complete responsibility for my life—not from a victim’s standpoint, but from a place of empowerment. There’s a saying: “If it’s to be, it’s up to me.” For much of my life, I felt like a victim of my circumstances—time, money, and others’ actions—living in a disempowered way. Everything changed when I learned to embrace responsibility!

POSSIBILITY: Recognizing that 100% is possible 100% of the time. When I take responsibility for my life and stand firmly in my integrity and vision, I unlock the potential to create anything. It’s an abundance mindset, and I truly believe we are far more powerful than we often realize. When we shift our focus away from limitations, we can create everything! So possibility is the ability to speak into existence absolutely anything and not be limited by what we’ve seen in the past or believe to be true! We can create the world we dream of!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
First, thank you for this recognition and platform! I’m Marni, a leadership and transformational facilitator dedicated to keeping the energy fields of leaders clean and clear so we can shift paradigms together. I help people apply ancient wisdom to modern challenges through coaching, group facilitation, and my music.

Over the years, I’ve been so blessed to travel around the world and study with shamans and mystics across cultures. After burning out as a corporate consultant, I committed myself to learning healing tools and wisdom traditions. Eventually, I was invited to teach what I was learning, maintaining the integrity of these oral tradition while applying my consulting background to provide structure and frameworks for passing them on.

During my studies, I developed courses to help people connect with their energy fields and explore healing practices. One practice I created, called “orgasmic breath,” has been shared with hundreds—if not thousands—globally, teaching others to connect to spirit and pleasure through breath.
I’ve been so blessed to receive transmissions and teachings from masters and to connect to my own intuitive wisdom. Now, I infuse these teachings into my music, using my voice as a catalyst for deeper love and connection.

My mission is to cultivate a world of belonging and consciousness through music, where people reclaim their voices and share their truths powerfully. As a singer-songwriter of soulful, empowering, healing music, I believe in music’s transformative power. I love blending deep drum beats and resonant frequencies with impactful lyrics to transport listeners into a trance, reminding them of their personal power and connection to something greater. (Check out my new song, Medicine in your Heart – 528hz on Spotify!)

My journey into artistry and teaching was definitely not without its challenges. I faced limiting beliefs, often feeling like nobody wanted to hear what I had to say—that my voice didn’t matter. I struggled with the fear of being judged, feeling “too much,” and waiting for perfection before sharing my work.
Then I realized that my teachings and music were meant to be shared. Whether I impact one person or a billion, withholding my gifts would be selfish. We live in a world that needs healing frequencies, so instead of striving for perfection, I trust and surrender, allowing the music and teachings to flow through me.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love Colorado so much because the people in environment inevitably inspire a connection to the outdoors, physical fitness / health, and play!

Boulder specifically is so much fun – there is always an ecstatic dance, or tea ceremony happening.

I’d take my best friend to the Boulder farmers market on Saturday and then to hang out at the creek. We’d absolutely grab dinner at Bramble and Hare the restaurant and get a burger at Wild Pastures!

And lots of hiking! I personally love Chautauqua and Shanahan Ridge! And we’d take a cutie day trip to the quant and scenic town of Nederland to see the leaves change and eat at the cutest pizza restaurant you ever did see!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Without a doubt, I owe my journey to the incredible people who walked this path before me. I’m beyond grateful to stand on the shoulders of giants, especially the women who have paved the way with their strength, wisdom, and resilience. Especially in my professional fields of consulting and wisdom keeping!

Recently, I’ve been deeply supported by the transformational teachings at Ascension Leadership Academy (ALA) in Austin, Texas—definitely a 10 out of 10 recommendation! The insights I’ve gained there have been invaluable.

I also want to give a heartfelt shoutout to my shaman mama, Mama Rosa. She was the first ancestral wisdom keeper to recognize the power and potential within me. By inviting me to live with her, she shared her teachings and lineage, showing me the profound connection between self-belief and the natural world. Through her, I learned the power of plants and nature to uplift the spirit.

Musically I want to acknowledge my mentor, Josh Golden, and producers Amel and Asma. And all of the amazing friends who encouraged me to record and share!

It’s so important to acknowledge not just the mentors I’ve encountered but also the ancestors and teachers who came before me. Their legacies and lessons continue to shape my path, reminding me that I’m part of a larger tapestry of support and inspiration.
