We had the good fortune of connecting with Mason Aksamit and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mason, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I was morally obligated to start the CLEP School, There is a quick way for any American to receive their Bachelor’s Degree in a year and graduate without student debt and colleges refuse to tell students about it, through many testing strategies that most people don’t even know about. As of February of 2020, the US has $1.56 trillion dollars in student debt owed to the government; with schools costing an average of $40,000/year for out of state tuition and $26,000/year in-state tuition. The student debt crisis has been not only getting worse, we’re nearing a stage of inability to recover. So I am lead to teach the world about ways to get their degree for cheap, so they can go into the workforce without spending years of their lives trying to dig their way out of debt.

What should our readers know about your business?
When I was 19 I received my Bachelor’s Degree in History from Southern New Hampshire University; without losing any money from student loans. Since then I have written a book (The One Year Diploma || How to Start your Career without Student Debt). This is extremely easy to do, I developed a system that could get anybody in the country to get their degree without acquiring student loans. With my system I guarantee you will graduate without accumulating ANY student loans. My book and Facebook page are dedicated to helping those of you, looking for a Bachelor’s degree.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love going up to Georgetown. I know it’s a bit out of the way, but the forrest of Aspen trees takes my breath away.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Diane Veazie, for being the greatest writing mentor I ever had. She was also the editor of my book and one of the most brilliant minds to walk this Earth.
