We had the good fortune of connecting with Nate Lawrence and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nate, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
3 rules have guided me. 1. Be the hardest worker in the room.
2. Have the highest standards.
3. Be the most passionate about everything.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Started out at 14 as a bus boy, dishwasher, prep, cook, chef, manager, bartender, gm, Vice President etc. Then owner. Learned a lot along the way. Definitely how to treat people, work hard. Nothing is given to you. Hard work doesn’t guarantee success, but it makes it a lot easier for sure. And last, always be nice and take care of people. They will take care of you as well.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love all four of our restaurants. Each offers something a bit different. Then of course we go skiing in the winter in Breck, or golfing in the summer at Pradera. And last but not least, catch a Rockies, Nuggets or avalanche game.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Old company. PB&J Restaurants. They were big on being nice, helping out the community and work life balance. Taking care of our employees. We give our employees a Haley Davidson after 15 years.
