We had the good fortune of connecting with Nate Tharp and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nate, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Started playing drums at age 7. Was pretty good at it, and enjoyed playing music. As I got older, I was getting asked to be in a lot of bands and do some session work. I liked it cause I was playing a bunch of different genres from metal to jazz. Then formed my own band with two other friends and we started writing music and gigging. We just released our EP.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m excited about the upcoming music my band is working on plus all the gigs we have. We started off instrumental and now adding a story with the lyrics. As mentioned before, my teachers and family contributed a lot to my success.
Lessons learned is be humble, open to take any chances, and learn from every opportunity.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents play a huge role in my success. Always supporting me with everything from being at my shows, financials, to even being our sound guy.

My music teachers also have contributed to my success. Todd Bills from school of rock Broomfield, Glen Sobel whose the drummer for Alice Cooper, and the great Eric Moore have all taught me how to succeed as a musician.
