We had the good fortune of connecting with Nhi Dang and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nhi, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve worked for multiple traditional salons before, but I always dreamt of building a unique salon studio where talented nail technicians with a passion for nails don’t treat each other as owners or employees, but rather as independent artists building their careers together.
What should our readers know about your business?
We pay meticulous attention to detail. We provide comfortable space.
We listen to customers’ needs and address their complaints.
One of the reasons we are well-known is our ability to create unique products.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Depending on the season, I have different ideas. In the summer, I like to hike in the mountains near my house, ride a bike in the city park, and try out all kinds of food trucks. The farmer’s market is also very interesting. In the winter, of course, we can’t miss the hot springs. Driving to see Christmas lights is another favorite activity. Art galleries or museums often have some amazing works. And one thing I really enjoy is the diversity of cuisine. We can find any restaurant in the old town.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have a lot of fun every day with my coworker Erika. We’ve been working together since day 1. She made me feel welcome in Fort Collins and in my new life here. We didn’t like the traditional salon business model, so we left that place. In February 2022, Nails Life Studio was opened. With love and passion, we turn customers’ nails into canvases of art every day. We try our best to create a good environment where we can enjoy working and make people feel beautiful too.
