We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicola Cole and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nicola, how does your business help the community?
There’s so much stress and conflict in the world today and with the dominance of social media in our lives it can be overwhelming. However, when you scroll through your feed and see images of peaceful, adorable, tiny humans, it’s hard not to melt a little and take a second to think about how precious life really is.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Being a newborn photographer is so much more than taking pictures of cute babies! It has taken me MANY years to learn how to safely pose newborns, work my camera, create beautiful lighting and perfect my post-processing techniques! My goal is that I will create images for clients that they will be proud to hang on their walls for many years to come.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh my! There’s SO much to do both in Denver and in each small town! My favorite places…. I love anything summer related like farmers markets, parades and movies in the park. As far as attractions, I like Garden of the Gods, Denver Zoo and the Wildlife Sanctuary. Food….. everything! Especially seafood, and steak… oh and Indian! (Parker’s little secrets are; Portofinos, Mr. Ramen and the Dancing Noodle!)
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I belong to a Facebook networking group called the ‘Networking Divas’ who are a group of local (mostly) women entrepreneurs. They have embraced me and my business and given me the courage and confidence to thrive. I have enjoyed collaborating with a variety of different businesses within the group to help enhance my customers’ experience.
