We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Stassinopoulos and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicole, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
I would have to say the biggest habit to help with my success is creating a consistent schedule using time blocks. I am a busy mom of three and my schedule can get chaotic. Having a set schedule that is mine for work and personal time has changed my success dramatically. I know what I need to do and when.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a LifeStyle Blogger sharing fashion, food, wellness, and home. This is a newer endeavor for me as I left my career as a Speech-Language Pathologist during the Pandemic. This was something I had been thinking of starting since 2011 as Pinterest took off. I always had a creative desire within me, and this is the perfect outlet. I have a background in make-up artistry as well. During undergraduate and graduate school, I was a make-up artist for M.A.C Costmetics, Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, and freelanced at a local salon doing bridal make-up. My love for beauty did not wane as my career grew. I found a way to bring my creativity into rehabbing my patients. I worked with adults with neurological disorders post stroke or traumatic brain injuries. Finding what their interests were helped me, helped them. Teaching is at the core of therapy. So when the pandemic hit, I like most, had to homeschool my boys and needed to find a way to pivot in my career. It has been an interesting journey, and I love it. I don’t think blogging is difficult, but finding ways to get your work out there was a challenge. I’ve learned to lean into experts, social media is an ever evolving beast! Once you think. you have mastered an area, it all changes. Patience with myself as I learn a new skill set and putting my self out there “not perfect” has been my biggest self challenges. Never give up on a dream or goal. It may take time, but if that fire is there lean in and try.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Denver! It’s such a fun and active city located at the base of the Rocky Mountains. It’s a walkable city and has over 300 sunny days with gorgeous blue skies!

We would head downtown to Denver’s 16th street mall, it’s a mile-long walkable mall packed with shopping, restaurants, and attractions. There are 42 outdoor cafes, more than two dozen shops, and 12 movie theaters. Depending on the mood, there’s an option for everyone. Some of my favorite places to eat there are Motomaki, The Kitchen, and ChoLon Bistro.

Larimer Square for a little happy hour at Corridor 44. Denver’s only champagne bar; it is so chic and intimate, a great place to grab shareable bites and have a glass of bubbly. A little treat at my favorite ice cream bar, Van Leewen, which caters to everyone meaning regular and vegan frozen desserts!

Convergence Station’s permanent installation of Meow Wolf is a must-see! Immersive art experience, mind-bending art across the four alien worlds of C Street, Eemia, Ossuary and Numina.

Red Rocks Amphitheatre for an amazing, life-changing concert or head to their park and attend Yoga on the Rocks.

Cherry Creek is a perfect spot for the shopper! You have b oth indoor mall shopping and a walkable community of upscale boutiques, shops, galleries, cafes, and spas. The Halycon hotel is a great place to stay, it’s comfortable, modern and in the heart of Cherry Creek. Also, attached is our families favorite restaurant, Quality Italian.

Restaurants I highly recommend for an experience are: Apple Blossom, Chez Maggy, Toro, Carmine’s on McGregor Square.

I would also set aside a day to sight see just outside of Denver to get a Colorado experience. /Rocky Mountain National Parkis is Colorado’s most populate attraction and it’s only 65 miles away from Denver.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a huge shoutout to my husband, Jerry Stassinopoulos, for always supporting my dreams. To my girls in the Olive Grove Community, without your knowledge and loyal support, I would not have had the push I never knew I needed.
