We had the good fortune of connecting with Noah Kaufman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Noah, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
As a physician, I have seen patients adopting CBD tinctures and products to use for a variety of ailments and as a supplement for inflammatory processes and sleep/anxiety. The stigma is changing rapidly in medicine and many of us providers are recommending that patients try CBD. At the same time, I noticed that the market is flooded with poor options: Not Organic, poorly processed or researched, poor genetic strains, non-full spectrum, shoddy practices etc. Patients need a high-end physician-backed product that they can trust and afford and that is USDA Organic and best in class. When I saw the hemp the Dory Family Farm was lovingly producing, I knew that people could benefit strongly from a superior supplement and line of products that I could get behind and use for myself, my family and my patients. It was a no=brainer to come into a crowded market with the best product and team out there. CBD can really help a lot of people, and the products for sale on FoCoOrganics.com are the absolute best way for people to buy trusted, top of the line CBD products for themselves and their loved ones.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Both FoCo Organics LLC (focoorganics.com) and Prazamana (Prazamana.com) are flagship brands in the boutique KD Organics LLC (kdorganics.com) holding company. What sets these CBD based brands apart from the competition is that we have a truly incredible and experienced team and line of products. As a physician, the genetics and USDA certified Organic strain of CBD–along with the full spectrum nature (vs. CBD isolate)–is essential. Founded by physicians and organic farmers, the products from these companies, although competitively priced, are vastly superior in quality and efficacy (and taste/feel). The business team has experience with Private Equity partners and is extremely efficient with operations and capital structure/allocation. We also have an Advisory Board that is uniquely positioned to help the brand expand and proliferate via distribution deals and marketing/PR. This has not been an easy problem. We started these companies over two years ago, and there have been several incredible challenges including the crash in prices in the hemp market, Covid-19 delaying our products by at least 6 months, and other issues with Contract Manufacturing partners and formulators that promised the world and delivered poorly, wasting time and capital before we found the right partners with Glacier Park in Northern Colorado who also deserve a huge shoutout. Luckily, the operational and executive team have quite a bit of experience as entrepreneurs and bootstrapping success and was able to survive these initial setbacks and view them as opportunities to grow and build a better product for our patrons. These brands are made with love and are devoted to delivering the best possible CBD products, from seed to shelf, for our customers. Created by a visionary founder who was helped immensely by CBD, and a physician who is dedicated to the latest research and quality of supplement for his patients, both the FoCo Organics and Prazamana brands are truly world-class.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Denver is truly a remarkable city filled with amazing little dives, culture-rich areas and amazing people. Eating in Denver is easy, and although Covid has reduced options and made all of our lives more difficult, there are still some amazing options. La Merise is one of my favorites for a serious dining experience as is Matsuhisa for edible art. B&GC is a wonderful little speakeasy that takes same-day reservations for a mellow classy cocktail/conversation experience. And then of course there are the outdoor activities. Being a lifelong rock climber, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Clear Creek Canyon just outside of Golden which has climbing of all difficulties and numerous guides for hire at the local climbing gyms. Red Rocks was such an amazing resource for live music and shows pre-Covid, and that is slowly coming back online. Dancing and party aficionados will love Ophelia’s and The Denver Art Museum is always a really enlightening experience!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a huge shoutout to the Dory family’s Farm and their other CBD beauty company Prazamana.com. The Dory’s are a true Northern Colorado success story! They put people first and are dedicated to the highest quality in everything they do. Their Prazamana beauty line and its flagship CBD facial product, Vibrance Vitamin C Facial Serum is truly a remarkable product that is receiving incredible reviews and my wife and I are absolutely in love with this product! The Dory’s have a rare integrity and attention to quality that make them very special in the CBD world. I think they deserve a ton of credit and they are super hard visionaries, especially their CEO and visionary female founder, Jes Dory who we affectionally refer to as “The Green Queen”! Learn more about Jes and her husband Ian (our COO and well recognized nationally as one of the top competitors on the American Ninja Warrior TV show).
