We had the good fortune of connecting with Ounjit Hardacre and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ounjit, what do you attribute your success to?
Customer service and quality of food
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am the Owner of Daughter Thai Kitchen and Bar in Denver. I am very very proud to say that and I believe that we have created something unique and authentic. I am originally from Thailand and came to the US in my 20’s to earn my degree and now have been able to realize my dream of opening a Thai food restaurant.
What I have learned along the way is that all you need is an idea, willingness to work hard and good people to help you reach your dreams. There will always be challenges and obstacles along the way but just keep going and you can get there and then all of the hard work and sacrifice will be worth it. I really think a big part of what makes you successful is just showing up day after day and putting in the time and energy.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My itinerary would be:
Brunch at The Bindery
Visit Historic Downtown Golden
Beers at Denver Beer Company
See an event at Red Rock Amphitheatre
Dinner at Daughter Thai Kitchen & Bar
After Dinner Drinks at El Five and enjoy the view!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to recognize my parents because they taught me how to work hard and believe in myself that I have what it takes to do anything that I set my mind to. I would also like to recognize my business partner and friend Pom. She always works so hard and is someone that you can really count on each and every day.
