We had the good fortune of connecting with Pamela Bogart and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Pamela, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Ever since I was young, I’ve had an entrepreneurial spirit. From the very first quarter I received at age 7 for a glass of lemonade, sparked the curiosity of the value I had to offer others. Unfortunately, the natural course of life took me to working a 9-5 for almost 20 years. Over the years, starting my own business became an irresistible adventure where I could tap into my passion, creativity, and determination. I’ve always been known to have a side hustle or two, but nothing ever made me feel the passion I feel in my own business today. Every ounce of experience, every twist and turn that life has thrown my way, I’ve poured into the creation of Leave It To Bee. It’s the sole desire to take the knowledge I’ve gathered, the skills I’ve honed, and the sheer determination that courses through my veins, and use them to make someone’s life better. One bee-autiful solution at a time!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Throughout my career, I’ve traversed both the corporate and hospitality worlds, which might seem like an unconventional combination at first glance, but it has allowed me the opportunity to cultivate a diverse skill set. Today, as a small business owner specializing in social media management, marketing, business development, and professional resume writing, I draw upon this eclectic background. The challenges I faced in the corporate world toughened my skin and provided me with invaluable knowledge. I take pride in delivering honest advice, even if it’s tough to hear, to help clients grow. Lessons in resilience, empathy, and effective communication have shaped my approach. I’m not just a service provider; I’m a partner committed to fostering genuine connections and guiding clients towards success.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In addition to my business mind set, I am also a social butterfly and would never shy away from a filthy dirty martini…or 5! Our area has a ton of really great small businesses to support. Downtown Somerville, NJ has recently become a local hotspot with so many varieties to choose from. No matter what you’re in the mood for, you can find it in this little active town!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Behind every small business owner, there is always a cast of extraordinary characters who deserve a lot of credit! For me, my amazing husband has been my lead cheerleader for years with his never-ending encouragement and the way he helps bring me back to light when the darkness of one failure is blinding.

I have also surrounded myself with the most amazing group of small business owners with great passion in their respective fields who have allowed me to consume endless hours planning, collaborating, and “think-tanking” the future of my business and of theirs.

And I absolutely would not be where I am today if it was not for the extraordinary encouragement of my business coach and dear friend Stacey Minton of Two Moons Coaching. I am continually amazed by her effort to help me realize the best version of yourself is but a choice away!
