Meet Peter Sky | Tattoo Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Peter Sky and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Peter, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I always knew on some level that I was interested. I’ve been drawing since I was very young so it was a natural progression of something I always was attracted to. I knew if I didn’t do this; I would regret it for the rest of my life. I used to draw on people’s arms in middle and high school and it progressed from there.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My work is based around the abstraction of form experienced in stained glass art. It is next radiation all art with an emphasis on deconstruction. I also draw inspiration from heady glass art and graphic illustration. I approach tattooing from an explorative perspective. My work speaks to balance and statement respectively. I enjoy putting implied meaning into the more wild pieces. Foxes frozen in ice; blades made from local flora and fauna from my hometown. Things like that. I enjoy tattoos and tattooers who try and approach the art f0rm from different places from the norm and would hope that my work is similar to that.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Wings over the Rockies! I like taking friends to the different museums Denver has to offer. There are a few big ones but there are also some hidden gems such as the former museum or the Clifford still museum.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to everyone who helped me along the way! My mom and dad have helped me through all the storms of being an artist and they deserve the shoutout!
