We had the good fortune of connecting with Rachel Wever and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rachel, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I’m actually from a very small town in Missouri. Dawn is the name of the town and I always say we have more cows than people, because it’s true. Growing up in Dawn helped shape me in many ways. Most notably, is that I find it easier to connect with my clients on a more personal level than most trainers can, or care to do. People in small towns grow up at a slower pace, your neighbors and friends become more like your family. If you don’t like someone it’s just too bad, because you’re stuck with them! There’s nowhere to run or hide in a small town! You learn to create personal and meaningful relationships with everyone around you. Because of this, I feel it’s easier for me to connect with and have empathy for my clients. I deeply care about their personal lives and goals as if they were my own. I love celebrating with them when they reach their goals because that connection makes it feel as if I achieved my own goals as well.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am on a mission to defeat the negativity that media and fad diets have placed on our society. I create and operate all of my clients’ programs with only science-proven techniques. That is why my programs work 100% of the time. The programs I deliver are not just workouts and not just nutrition programs. We work together on fitness, nutrition, AND mindset. Because if your mind isn’t right, you’re blocking your ability to get to your goals. I teach my clients to love themselves through every part of their health and wellness journey. Together we strive for balance that is sustainable and enjoyable for a lifetime of healthy living.
My vision for Love R Bodies is that it will allow me to create a world where there are no more eating disorders and no more lies about food and nutrition in traditional media. My goal is to evolve Love R Bodies and form a program for elementary school age kids, teaching them healthy balance and self positive talk/image starting from a young age.
I’m in my second year of owning my own business and I can tell you, IT IS NOT EASY. I work every day. I was upset this year when I wanted to take a vacation but couldn’t because I had 3 clients out sick and zero paychecks to support a day off. If I’m not working on my business, then no one is. Why do I stick with it? Why do I keep plugging away even on those weeks when there’s no sleep in sight? Because of you. Because I can’t give up on the people out there that I KNOW I am meant to help. I’m here doing what I do because I know I’m making a difference, and I refuse to let you down.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My first shoutout needs to go to my family and my boyfriend. They are always there supporting me no matter how big and crazy my dreams are. They have never allowed me to give up on myself or those big crazy dreams. My second shoutout has to go to my clients, the ones who have stuck with me through all the changes over the past 2 years, believing in me and my abilities and supporting me financially. A couple of mentors over the years: Nick Stepinovich, my very first personal training manager; Stephanie Smolders, my business and marketing coach; and Krista Pasionek, my personal wealth guru. I also want to shout out to the books “The Success Principles” by Jack Canfield for helping me define my vision, as well as “You are a Badass” by Jen Sincero for reminding me that I am indeed a badass who is fully capable of achieving my vision for the world.
