Meet Rev Rozell | Automotive Videographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rev Rozell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rev, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m from Denton, Texas—a small town about 30 minutes north of Dallas. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve had a strong love for cars and motorcycles. I’d attend downtown car shows with my dad and spend weekends visiting motorcycle dealerships, excited just to sit on the new models. That early passion for cars and bikes laid the foundation for where I am today.
At seven years old, I picked up photography as a hobby. My mom let me use her old Canon camera, and I would walk around the house taking pictures—whether it was a LEGO build I had just finished, a model car, or my brother jumping on the trampoline. As I entered my teenage years, that hobby only grew. Each summer, I worked and saved up money to buy the latest camera releases. I built a pretty decent portfolio and started my own Instagram page to showcase my work.
By high school, I was attending larger car shows around the DFW area. I’d bring my camera, snap pictures throughout the event, and post them to Instagram later that day. Within about two months, event organizers started using my photos to promote their next shows. Eventually, I began making money by doing private photoshoots for people across DFW, capturing unique shots of their vehicles.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

About a year and a half ago, I started diving deeper into another passion of mine—videography. I invested in a better camera and a lot of video gear. From the beginning, I had a clear vision: to create short, cinematic car videos. At the time, there were only about two other people producing that kind of content in the DFW area, so I knew that if I was good, I could stand out.
Transitioning from photography to videography was extremely challenging—it’s an entirely different world. I had to teach myself everything from scratch, which came with its own set of obstacles. But the challenge only pushed me further.
Flash forward to know, ive gained over 5 million views on my instagram and ive gotten to work with my favorite creators and have been able to travel to different states to make videos for people

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love heading into the mountains and exploring, but Boulder, Colorado—and the surrounding areas—holds a special place in my heart. It offers an amazing mix of culture, great food, and stunning mountain views.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to shout out Cars And Coffee Of Texas for letting me take pictures and helping them advertize for their events!
