We had the good fortune of connecting with Rochell Malay and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rochell, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to give my community something unique something different game changing. I wanted people to walk into my store and have a one of a kind experience. I wanted to bring high fashion and create a dream where people feel like they are in Paris or New York. I wanted to create and atmosphere of beauty and creativity and give people inspiration.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My favorite thing to do is create! When I’m on set styling or a photoshoot I always pick the right location because fashion is art and my background has to meet my foreground. I believe in telling a story through my work with my style and fashion design. Creating fashion shows and events for my brand is what I’m Most proud of because it takes time and a team effort to put on a beautiful show for my supporters. Also being featured in several magazines I’m
Proud too. It’s a beautiful feeling when people recognize what your doing in the world especially if it’s something positive. I have had so many obstacles adversities and challenges along the way building my brand. Some days I don’t know how I keep going or how I’m going to accomplish my huge goals but I don’t stop. There is a fire in side of me that keeps me pushing to keep going. I change my mindset and believe everything will work out and it always do. The universe always have my back. Consistency is what keeps my brand growing and reaching new heights. It’s never easy but doing what i love is so filling and rewarding. It’s a beautiful feeling having women email me telling me how they love my brand designs and how beautiful they feel wearing them. That is what really matters and keep me going. I want the world to know That Alex Malay the brand was built to inspire to show case beauty art design fashion in a unique way to change the world and show how fashion can create a dream a fantasy.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a creative nature loving person so definitely the mountains we would go to the top!the view and atmosphere is like No other! The details and beauty is breathtaking

Honestly I want to thank me for believing in me and doing all this hard work with no days off.
