Meet Ron Goldstein | Founder: Zenon Wholesale Digital, WholesaleCTV & Zenon Legal Marketing

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ron Goldstein and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ron, how do you think about risk?
In my opinion, “Risk Taking” is one of the most important things a leader needs to be comfortable with. It is exactly like stepping into a fight. A fight is scary if you’re not mentally prepared for it & the same goes with “Taking Risks”.
“Risk Taking” is literally the line in the sand that forces you to make a decision. It either allows you to pass through with “planned success”….or hinders you & forces you to learn from mistakes you took “on a gamble”.
Taking risks is critical for growth though. It is the epitome of the “Fear of the Unknown”.
None of us have all the answers to all of our questions, so you have to do 3 things when assessing “Taking Risks”.
1. Plan – you must think things through every scenario possible – (for us, we whiteboard everything)
2. Execute – you must not over-think everything & create a “Paralysis by Analysis” situation. You’ve got to believe in your plan & let it fly eventually. It’s the only way to know if you’ve planned properly.
3. Adjust – This aspect is the most important factor in achieving success. Most plans are not perfect & adjusting on the fly is the difference between success & failure.
I’ve always been a Risk-Taker. I believe in trying things that are scary or new & I believe that the best business leaders have no fear when it comes to “Taking Risks”.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are extremely proud of our business because we have seen that any client that spends over $30,000/month with us (small budget for Programmatic Advertising) – has never cancelled…..and we do not have any contracts.
Our process of reverse-engineering the “desired results pathway” for each client has proven us to stand out amongst our competitors.
It was definitely not easy when we started, but we stayed in the fight & started to get some wins. Those wins became bigger wins & we started to secure agencies that wanted to “white-label” us….so we did that too.
We focused on 3 major things: Pricing, Performance & Customer Service
Pricing – we offered our services at wholesale rates….every other competitor DSP is a retail reseller
Performance – we made sure that each campaign performed according to the goals of the advertiser
Customer Service – we centered our approach to be able to “handle it all for you + monthly reporting” and always be available for our clients.
Our brand is modeled after the Amazon pillars of success & that discussion with them…actually led us to a partnership with Amazon.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’ve got some wild friends, so our week would be filled with some memorable experiences.
Food:
We’re all big foodies, so we’d venture out to hitting my favorite spots that I often go to & it would also entail trying new places too & experiment with newer dishes as well.
Fun:
Everything from going to watch some local fights, shooting guns at the range, golfing, fishing, workouts and some comedy clubs for sure. Not to mention the sightseeing.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I think my “Shoutout” would need to go to my parents.
They allowed me to believe that I could do anything if I really busted my tail for it.
I was always the smallest student in my school & the smallest player on any field/mat until I reached the age of 16. That’s where my “fear-nothing” attitude was born. I realized then & there that if I was ever going to be able to compete….I cannot fear anyone.
So I shifted my mindset to being the most aggressive player on the field & the hardest working student in the classroom…..every single day was a competition for me. My mind became ultra-competitive at everything.
Those traits still live within me today & I value those traits more than any others.
