We had the good fortune of connecting with Ryan Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ryan, what’s the most difficult decision you’ve ever had to make?
The most difficult decision I’ve ever had to make is quitting drinking. I’ve always been a big dreamer and knew I had the talent to really do something with my life but I was really big into the party scene and that’s all I wanted to do. It will be 5 years in September that I made the decision to get sober and I know for a fact, I would not have the opportunities or drive to follow through with my dreams if I never made that decision. It seems easy to decide on quitting something that effects you so negatively to a person who is fortunate enough to not experience it but it definitely is a struggle. I give props to anyone that has, is trying to or is thinking about quitting an addiction of theirs. It’s not easy by any means but it’s worth it.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
When I created Denver Sports Betting my goal was to harness the potential of sports betting and mesh it with the uniqueness of my city. Denver Sports Betting is a locally driven betting outlet, dedicated to presenting a tone only attainable by tried and true Colorado sports fans and sports bettors. Whether you are wanting to try sports betting for the first time or you’re a seasoned vet, we have information that will help educate or get you an edge. Denver Sports betting is not conventional by any means, we look to push the boundaries and provide something so fresh and new to the community. Sports betting is here to stay and we look forward to carving out a local niche in the ever expanding industry and entertaining you with our in-depth content, our legendary events and our prizes that you won’t want to miss out on.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well, first we would have to look at DenverSportsBetting.com or their social media to see what amazing events they might be throwing (wink) I feel if it’s their first time here or not, the right of passage is to start off the venture with a smothered breakfast burrito. There’s too many great spots to say which one we would end up at. From there, we’ll go hit the radio station so they can meet the awesome team from DSB and see how the Denver Sports Betting Show on 98.1 FM gets made. After that, we’re definitely going to catch a game whether it’s a Nuggets or an Avs game at the Pepsi Center (Ball Arena, which I’m never going to call it that) Since we’re downtown already, we’ll end the night over at Blake Street Tavern. Very simple but a think a great day.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Definitely need to give credit to my family and friends. Through the good and bad they have always been by my side and always been my biggest supporters. I’m truly blessed to have been given so many amazing people in my life. Also need to give a shoutout to the Denver Sports Betting team. Some of the most talented guys in the industry that are going to change the game.
