We had the good fortune of connecting with Ryan Wooderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ryan, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’d been practicing since 2012 and grew tired of how I was required to treat patients and use my skill set in private practices or hospital-based clinics. I wanted to treat people the way they deserved and in a way that utilized the full depth & breadth of my knowledge. Not only that, I wanted to build a system with as few barriers to care, and with as many styles of providers as possible – basically the antithesis of our country’s healthcare system. I still believe this is the best way to deliver healthcare of any type – primary care to rehab – with as few barriers as possible and in the most comprehensive way.

What should our readers know about your business?
One of the main aspects of Revo Denver that sets us apart is that we look at problems differently than most providers. We leverage technology heavily in almost every PT session and even in training sessions to ensure our patients & clients get the best results possible. We believe and practice daily – “what gets measured, gets managed”. In addition to our technology, we believe that not one provider has all the answers to a single problem. That’s why we have physical therapists, massage therapists, strength coaches, & dietitians on staff. Each patient gets multiple perspectives on their challenges and we work as a team for the best and most efficient solutions.

When I started this journey, I was literally pulling a massage table out of a small broom closet in a buddy’s gym near downtown Denver. No glitz, no glam, no shiny toys to show off – just me, the patient, and my desire to do things differently. I worked myself into a position of leaving my full-time job, then I was able to partner with Dane & Brian to build Revo Denver.

What I’m most excited about is our future. At 2.5 years in, we’re still relatively young and the public’s attitude toward how they receive healthcare is changing rapidly. Folks are recognizing that going through non-traditional channels can yield an amazing experience for incredible results.

As I said earlier, having my son has been one of the best things for me as an entrepreneur. It’s forced me into an ever-expanding growth mindset in all ways. The lessons I’ve gained from being a dad and an entrepreneur are incredible and still continue on a weekly basis. It’s uncomfortable sometimes, but it’s always been worth it.

If I could tell a stranger anything about the Revo brand it’s that we’re always iterating, always changing, and we care a LOT. Those things will continue to make us the best at what we do.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The first shoutout has to go to my wife. She has supported me full throttle from the start – from seeing patients out of a buddy’s gym on my day off and on Saturdays, to now where I’m growing a business in a 7,000 sq. f.t space. She deserves as much credit for Revo Denver as anyone. Without her support, patience, love, & understanding, there is no way I could have done this.

Next Shoutout is to my friends, business partners, and co-founders Dane and Brian. They co-founded Revo Boulder 10 years ago and sparked my imagination with how things could be done differently. Without their belief, trust, support, & experience, Revo Denver wouldn’t exist.

Finally, my son gets the last Shoutout. His ability to cause me to grow as a human has better prepared me to be a business owner. The growth mindset of having a child is very similar to that of being an entrepreneur – it never ends.
