Meet Ryan Woodland

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Ryan Woodland again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Ryan, always such a pleasure connecting with you and thank you for sharing your stories, insights and inspiring messages with our community. We’re looking forward to getting the download and what you have been up to since our last interview, but first can you briefly introduce yourself to folks who might have missed the prior conversation.
My name is Ryan Woodland, founder of Woodland Home Company and Woodland Home Marketplace. We are a custom home builder and reclaimed building material supplier located in Northern Colorado. We have begun to enter the land development space in the past couple years as well, working with my wife Sarah who is a real estate agent at the Orr Land Brokerage in Greeley, CO. We are very detail orientated in both entities with a passion for creating the highest quality products that we can possibly create. We are always looking to improve systems and processes to streamline our operations and create competitive pricing in our independent markets. Our thirst for knowledge and improvement has been monumental in our progress. We have ready many books on business, entered business groups, sought out mentorship and challenging experience to build our skill set within the market space. We believe we have to have continued growth and improvement to provide an exceptional service to our clients.
Alright, so our main goal today is to give our audience an update on what you have been up to since our last conversation. We’d love to hear how things are going and what you are most looking forward to or excited about these days.
In the recent years we have purchased a 146 farm in Eaton, CO where we plan to create 35 luxury estate lots. We are going through the annexation and approval processes currently to make that goal come to fruition. Simultaneously we continue to grow the product offerings and delivery regions of Woodland Home Marketplace. We have also began a new project in Greeley, CO where we plan to build 56 luxury patio homes in a new development coming live this upcoming year call The Cache.
Alright, so let’s do something a bit more fast-paced and lighthearted. We call this our lightning round and we’ll ask you a few quick questions.

When you look back on your life, what are three things you expect to be proud of?
1 – I first and foremost want to be remember as a good husband and father. My family is why I do everything in life and that will never change. They are the reason my feet hit the ground every morning.
2- Someone that would push forward in environments where others would not. I try not to take unnecessary risks to protect investments of course, but I enjoy try to see what all I can actually accomplish in my working life.
3- A person that made other people better around me. I enjoy watching individuals on our team grow and reach their personal and business goals. I currently make those investments in my team members and plan to keep this as a priority in my business. I feel that employees are generally very smart and understand when a leader cares about them.
