We had the good fortune of connecting with Ryleigh Leavitt and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ryleigh, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
Running my business has taught me that success, much like in eventing with horses, requires a combination of consistency, patience, and perseverance. Just as a rider and their horse must consistently train and refine their skills over time, I’ve learned the importance of consistently showing up, putting in the effort, and continuously improving my craft. Patience is crucial, as progress often comes in small increments, similar to the gradual development of a horse and rider partnership. And perseverance is essential when facing challenges or setbacks, reminding me to stay resilient and keep pushing forward towards my goals, just like navigating through the various obstacles in eventing competitions.
What should our readers know about your business?
My business is deeply rooted in my passion for eventing and my commitment to training both horses and people to achieve their full potential. What sets me apart is my holistic approach, where I not only focus on technical skills but also prioritize the partnership and connection between horse and rider.
I take pride in creating personalized training programs tailored to the unique needs of each individual and horse, fostering growth and development in a supportive environment. What excites me most is witnessing the progress and successes of my clients, whether they’re mastering a new jump or achieving a personal best in competition.
Getting to where I am today hasn’t been easy. I’ve encountered obstacles and setbacks along the way. However, through perseverance and determination, I’ve surmounted these hurdles, continually adapting and refining my approach to better serve my clients and my business.
The lessons I’ve learned have been invaluable. I’ve learned the importance of resilience, adaptability, and staying true to my passion and values. Every challenge has been an opportunity for growth, and I’ve emerged stronger and more capable because of them.
What I want the world to know about my brand and story is that it’s not just about training horses and riders; it’s about fostering a community of support, growth, and achievement. My business is built on a foundation of integrity, passion, and a genuine love for the sport of eventing, and I’m dedicated to helping others discover and pursue their own equestrian dreams.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For an exciting day in the Denver metro area with my best friend, we’d kick things off with a delicious breakfast at First Watch. After enjoying a satisfying meal, we’d head to Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre for a morning hike, soaking in the stunning natural beauty.
Once hunger strikes, we’d make our way to Angelo’s Taverna for lunch, savoring their delectable Italian dishes. In the afternoon, we’d immerse ourselves in all the shopping at Cherry Creek mall!
As evening approaches, we’d indulge in dinner at Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls, savoring their delicious New England-style lobster rolls and seafood specialties. After enjoying a satisfying meal, we’d be ready to immerse ourselves in the lively atmosphere of The Grizzly Rose, where we’d dance the night away to live country music!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My best friend Darby Murphy Beard!
