Meet Sarahjane Chartier | Leadership Coach & COO/Integrator of The Foundry Advisory

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarahjane Chartier and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sarahjane, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Work-life balance: how has your balance changed over time? How do you think about the balance?
For years, I bought into the myth that balance meant doing everything equally well, all the time. But life doesn’t work like that—and neither does leadership. Over time, I’ve come to see balance less like a scale and more like a rhythm. Seasons change. Priorities shift. And the goal is no longer to keep all the plates spinning, but to be present where I am—with God, my family, my team, or my clients.
When I first launched my coaching practice, I was juggling motherhood, marriage, and a business. It was survival mode. I didn’t yet have the systems—or mindset—that supported sustainable growth. Through a lot of trial (and prayer), I learned that margin isn’t selfish, it’s stewardship. Now, as COO of The Foundry Advisory, I’m even more intentional. I carve out time for strategic thinking, deep rest, and connecting with my community, because I know those moments fuel the work, not distract from it.
Balance today looks like clarity on what matters most, healthy boundaries, and giving myself permission to not be everything to everyone. I believe that when we lead from rest—not hustle—we actually lead better.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I serve in two unique but beautifully connected spaces: as a Christian Leadership Coach and as the COO of The Foundry Advisory, a peer advisory community for Christian business owners. Both roles allow me to do what I love most—help leaders live and lead with greater clarity, intention, and faith.
What sets us apart at The Foundry is our conviction that business and faith aren’t separate lanes. We’re building a community where Christian entrepreneurs can bring their whole selves to the table—where strategy meets Scripture, and leadership is sharpened through accountability and Spirit-led wisdom. We believe in real conversations, real growth, and real results—and we’re not afraid to say Jesus’ name in the boardroom.
As for my coaching practice, it was born out of my own journey. I spent years living by default—busy, burned out, and spiritually fragmented. Through God’s grace and some deep inner work, I found peace in letting go of perfection and stepping into purpose. Now, I help other women do the same. I love watching a client move from surviving to thriving—from unclear to unapologetically aligned.
Was it easy? Not even close. I’ve navigated seasons of doubt, financial strain, co-leadership dynamics, and hard family transitions. But every challenge became a classroom. I learned the value of boundaries, the necessity of rest, and the power of knowing who you are (and Whose you are).
What I want people to know is this: I’m not here to build an empire—I’m here to build the Kingdom. Whether I’m coaching a client through a mindset breakthrough or helping scale a Foundry group, my heart is the same. I believe that when entrepreneurs are spiritually grounded and emotionally healthy, their businesses—and their lives—reflect that wholeness.
My story is still unfolding, but I’m proud of how far God has brought me. I’ve learned to lead with intention, partner in community, and make space for both ambition and grace.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting Northern Colorado for the week, I’d want her to experience a little bit of everything that makes this area special—faith, food, mountains, and community.
We’d start with slow mornings: local coffee shops like Arboretum or Bindle Coffee, followed by trail walks or paddleboarding at Horsetooth Reservoir. I’d definitely take her to The Spice & Tea Exchange so she could mix her own blend or stock up on herbal teas—it’s one of my favorite ways to treat friends, and I love sharing the story behind the store.
We’d explore Old Town Fort Collins, stop into some boutiques, and eat at spots like Bread Fellow or Lemonata. There are so many great places here run by passionate, values-driven people—it’s part of what makes this community feel alive.
We’d go to church together at Citipointe, sit on the patio, and carve out quiet time to talk about life, calling, and what God is stirring in our hearts. Maybe we’d even drop in on a Foundry Advisory group or connect with a few of the amazing women I walk alongside in business.
The goal wouldn’t be to do everything—just to experience the heartbeat of this place: the people, the beauty, and the presence of God in it all.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes, I’d like to give a huge shoutout to Hunter Wylie. As the CEO and Founder of both The Foundry and Beyond Blue Media, Hunter has been a constant source of inspiration and support in my journey. His leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment to empowering others have made a profound impact on me and countless others. Whether through his work at The Foundry, where he fosters community and growth, or through Beyond Blue Media, where he amplifies voices and messages that matter, Hunter’s dedication is evident in everything he does. I am deeply grateful for his mentorship and the example he sets as a leader who truly cares about making a difference.
