We had the good fortune of connecting with Sharayah Beecham and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I believe that what sets me apart from other Reiki practitioners is education and feedback. When anyone comes to me with an issue say emotional health related, we can usually pinpoint what’s happening, why it’s happening and how my client can go forward with a greater sense of empowerment. I also stress that having energy readings is an extremely vulnerable position to place oneself and yet it’s difficult to know who to trust. I understand this very well and do my best to offer a safe, non-judgemental space were my clients feel held in a peaceful environment. One of my primary goals for any client is that they leave feeling supported, seen, and heard.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I enjoy spending as much time in nature as possible. The city of Fort Collins has done a fabulous job of providing an extensive cycling network of roads and lanes and it makes it a lot of fun to explore the northern part of town. Especially as many of the cycling trails lead to the Poudre River. So I’d go on a cycling ride to the area around CSU, pick up lunch at the Rainbow cafe and then show them my office which is 5 minutes from there. By my office is by the Colorado State Experimental flower gardens and this is such a fun place for avid gardeners and flower enthusiasts to find new flower varieties growing. Theirs also a fabulous vintage shop right across the street called Repeat Boutique that I enjoy going into from time to time.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Shoutout is to Susan Chiocchi CMRT, of Boulder. She is the founder of Reiki Colorado Academy, Boulder and has taught Reiki for over 20 years. Her experience coupled with her rigorous education and training programs has laid the groundwork for who I have become as a Reiki Master Practitioner. I count her as my teacher, my mentor and my spiritual role model.
