We had the good fortune of connecting with Sno E. Aschman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sno E., what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think taking risk is very important but it is also relative. The more risks you take the more you can get comfortable in uncomfortable situations and have growth. I like to take calculated risks so I am by no means someone who won’t do my research first before taking a risk. It’s just important to not get too complacent and get stuck overthinking things.
What should our readers know about your business?
First I want to say I love how far we have progressed as a society that women are able to run businesses! Anything worth pursuing is not always the easiest but it is promised to be worth it. I am so grateful for my journey and experiences. It has been very rewarding and for me it has been more intuitive than anything. I credit God for giving me the wisdom and guidance on how to proceed. You have to take that First step and just get started! Even if you don’t know what you are doing. Try to watch those who are doing what you want to do and if you can build a mentorship/friendship with someone who is successful in what you want to do, and they are open about sharing advice, that is ultimately the best anyone starting out can do for themselves! Surround yourself with people who have similar career paths and learn from them. Their experiences will help you to learn best practices in your field. Lastly, always be kind and do what is right.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are so many wonderful places in Colorado. Although I am not a native I am discovering them little by little. A lot of our guests usually like to check out Breckenridge and Keystone and hit the slopes so I would build that into the week. It is such a cute mountain town with great eateries!
I would also take them to Steamboat which is a longer drive but so worth it. In the summer they have rodeos which are a blast!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
God, my parents and my Husband are key to my success. I have a wonderful supportive family and I think that is so vital to anyone starting out.
