We had the good fortune of connecting with Steven Mignano and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Steven, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always had the dream of owning my own business one day and knew I loved working with people, so it was just a matter of deciding what kind of business I wanted to operate. I grew up in Williston, Vermont; a small town back east and one of my favorite jobs growing up was working for a party rental company mainly supervising inflatable bounce castles. A lot of the parties were for kids birthdays, school events, graduations, weddings, and more, but there was always kids! Outside of the party rental work I’ve worked with kids as a camp counselor as well and have just always loved children, they make this world a brighter place. With my past working with children and the party rental business it just clicked one day a couple years ago that the perfect business for me to operate would be Mile High Party Time! It was a flawless option, because I get to work with people I love and we all honestly just get to have fun all day. It’s impossible to play on bounce castle and not smile!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Mile High Party Time is the newest, the most afford, and the most flexible party rental company you will ever find. Although we are a small company currently employing just me, myself, and I, this gives me the power to do whatever my customer wants! You need a bounce castle four hours away in the mountains? I’m your guy! You need a bounce castle over night? I’m your guy! You may be worried about price, but there’s no need call me, I’m your guy! I want to help people celebrate for whatever the special occasion may be and create memories they’ll remember forever.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First and foremost I have to make sure anyone who hasn’t yet gets to see Red Rocks. Whether there’s a concert happening or not, it’s just one of my all time favorite spots in Colorado! Living in the heart of the city right off Colfax Ave there’s a bevy of amazing spots to get some grub or wet your whistle right near by. My favorite taco Tuesday joint is Mezcal and the margaritas are phenomenal as well. My favorite restaurant in the city is a really amazing Phish/Grateful Dead themed wing spot called Fire on the Mountain. I love Cheeseman Park, would highly recommend a bike ride there or laying out on the grass and soaking up some sun with friends. Best 24/7 food spot goes to Denver Diner, don’t miss out on their chili cheese fries. Need to get brunch, maybe a mimosa check out Syrup or Rupert’s. Top it all off with a beautiful sunset at City Park sitting up top by the Museum!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My father Andrew Mignano is the biggest mentor and inspiration I have in my life! Without him my dream of Mile High Party Time would most likely still be just a dream. Being a business owner himself, my Dad was full of support and helpful guidance when I first came up with the idea to start my own business. From helping me create a business model and mission statement to walking me through the first time having to do taxes for my company, my Dad has helped every step of the way. If you’re reading this Dad thank you and I love you!
