Meet Tanya Nathan Sarah Andrews | Political Consultants, Momarchy Podcast Founders and Cohosts

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tanya Nathan Sarah Andrews and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tanya Nathan, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Momarchy was born because we could not find a place we found represented our voices in the current political scene. Politics often ignores the realities of families, and especially mothers, even though we’re living at the intersection of so many critical issues—healthcare, childcare, education, safety, and economic opportunity. Too often, those conversations get drowned out by the loudest extremes on both sides, leaving many without a space that feels honest, balanced, and reflective of real life.
Our podcast creates that space. We bring humor, candor, and personal experience to political conversations so they’re not just about parties and platforms, but about the everyday challenges and hopes of mothers and beyond. By amplifying these voices, we’re building a community that cuts through polarization and helps people feel empowered to engage, even if they’re exhausted by politics as usual.
At its core, Momarchy is about changing the conversation so that the realities of motherhood and family, as well as the everyday experiences of neighbors, workers, and community members, are central to shaping our democracy.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
This all started back in 2016, when we were both working on the Hillary Clinton campaign and drinking spicy margaritas at The Pioneer. We shared an enthusiasm for the campaign but also a frustration that the the most authentic, representative voices weren’t always the ones being heard.
Fast forward a few years: we’re now both married with kids, and while our enthusiasm has grown, so have our frustrations. We decided it was time to stop just complaining (even though we’re really good at it) and actually do something about it. That’s how Momarchy was born—a passion project and a way to build community out of the countless conversations we were already having with family, friends, and colleagues who felt our country had lost its way and that the wrong voices were being amplified.
We had no idea it would take off the way it has. Both of us have spent more than a decade working as political organizers behind the scenes—writing talking points, setting up chairs, designing campaign literature—so stepping into the spotlight with Momarchy was brand new. And yet, in less than two months since launch, we’ve become a Top 50 Political Podcast in the U.S. with listeners in over 60 countries.
The best part isn’t the rankings – it’s the messages we get from people we’ve never met, saying that they finally feel heard or that listening gave them the drive to get back out and push for change. If we’ve learned one thing, it’s that when you’re feeling discouraged, you’re rarely alone. We learned the perfect time to start something doesn’t exist—you create momentum by starting, working really hard, and figuring it out as you go.
We owe so much to our families. Our husbands and kids give us the support, patience, and inspiration to keep going. They remind us every day why this work matters.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Our go-to answer has to be The Pioneer—the perfect spot for nachos, sunny afternoons on the roof, or grabbing a booth to laugh, vent, and catch up with friends.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
To our kids: Claire, Teddy, and Shai. You are our inspiration, our motivation, and our hope for a brighter future.
