We had the good fortune of connecting with Taylor Moon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Taylor, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business began years before I actually started my own business! I was teaching at the time at a school district in Chicago and I just had this feeling that something was missing from my life. There were aspects of my job that I enjoyed, but something inside of my heart that was whispering, “this isn’t it, there’s something more I’m meant to do.” This is when my goal to create my own business was birthed, but I had no idea what I was going to do.

From there I did “user-research” on myself! I began to ask people what they thought my “superpowers” were; meaning, what they thought I did well or could help others with. I also brainstormed what I was passionate about and that list ranged from “coffee with too much cream” to “talking to others about their spirituality.” A theme of spirituality, transformation, and wellness began to arise as I conducted this research on myself. Then something clicked; I was seeing major benefits from my spiritual journey that I’d been on for the last few years and I knew I wanted to help others navigate their own journey!

What should our readers know about your business?
Readers should know that my business has been developed straight from my heart. I absolutely love the work that I do, and I’ve put in my “10,000 hours” as author Malcolm Gladwell states as the minimum hours to excel at something. I study astrology, wellness, mental health, trauma, and spirituality every day.  I will forever be a student because there is always more to learn to help my clients and astrology itself is so deep and vast!  I’m very passionate about it and I’m excited and humbled to have the opportunity to help guide people on their healing and wellness journey. I think it’s important to share that I feel called to help others using astrology as a tool because it has helped me overcome dark moments in my life. In 2018 I was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm and had to have open-brain surgery. Utilizing my birth chart and connecting with my astrology community helped me to get through that difficult time in my life and empowered me to share the knowledge I’d gained to help others.

My clients come to me for many different reasons, but the common thread seems to be that they are feeling a little stuck or unsure about what is next for them and I notice that after our sessions they are breathing a little easier. There’s something about learning that you are wonderfully and cosmically made to be the person you are via your birth chart that makes people feel so much better about their lives! I tell folks don’t come see me unless you are ready to go DEEP deep lol. During my sessions with clients we often dive into family dynamics and childhood traumas, relationships, past beliefs that no longer serve you, and deep rooted fears. As an Aquarius with Scorpio & Pisces placements, I’m not afraid to hold your hand and talk through what’s hiding in the dark so we can walk toward the light together.  I got you.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
One of the greatest things about Denver when visiting from another state is the mountains and nature! I had a blast visiting Red Rocks Park & Amphitheater and definitely suggest (if you have time!) driving to see the Rocky Mountains at the Rocky Mountain National Park. Then I’d definitely suggest the Denver Art Museum and visiting Larimer Square for a bite to eat or to end your night with drinks and fun! I also would stop into TeaLee’s Tea Co. for book browsing and tea sipping, and yummy Ethiopian food at Ras Kassa’s Ethiopian Restaurant!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First, I DEFINITELY have to shoutout my husband and son! They are so loving and supportive and make me feel like Superwoman! I feel like I can do anything because they have my back 🙂

Next, I have to shoutout my family and friends. My tribe is so supportive and encouraging. I can come up with the wildest ideas and they are always like, “You can do it, Taylor!” I love them so much.

Lastly, I have to mention the book, “Braving the Wilderness” by Brene Brown. Entrepreneurship is exhilarating but can also be a lonely road. This book helped me to understand that being willing to stand in my authenticity and belong to myself no matter what is the most courageous and sacred gift I could offer myself.
