We had the good fortune of connecting with Teddi Domann and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Teddi, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The Pro Football Camp was started in 2006 by Craig & Teddi Domann, former TE Rich Griffith, and Darlene Warmouth, who wanted to give back to the Colorado Springs community. Inspired by local business entrepreneur, Steve Bigari, and his encouragement to “just bring what you got,” they felt like there was a need in the community and they had the skill sets and contacts to run a successful youth football camp featuring current and former NFL athletes as the coaches. After 213 kids, ages 7 – 14 years old, showed up at camp, they knew they had created something that the Colorado Springs community wanted and needed.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Craig & Teddi Domann own an athlete and coach representation business. Craig has been a NFL Agent for more than three decades and Teddi, an NFLPA Marketing Agent, serves their clients by handling all the marketing. Check out: www.360SportsRep.com. Additionally through Craig’s representation of NFL athletes and hundreds of conversations with NFL coaches & scouts, NFL front office personnel, and numerous performance professionals from sports psychologists and trainers, Craig identified what it takes to be your best in your biggest moments. He calls it Pro Mindset®. He now gives keynote speeches and coaches not only athletes, but countless number of professionals, executives, and companies on how they too can develop their own Pro Mindset to differentiate them in the marketplace and allow them to be their best when it matters the most. www.CraigDomann.com He also has a weekly podcast, Pro Mindset Podcast, www.ProMindsetPodcast.com or https://www.youtube.com/@promindsetpodcast.

Our 501c3 non-profit organization, Pro Football Camp, strives to inspire and encourage boys and girls, ages 7 – 14 years old, to be their very best! We know that most will not make it to the NFL or UFL. However, we believe sports…and this camp in particular…will provide you proper football skills and teach you valuable life lessons and character traits that will enable you to be your best and apply to God’s purpose for your life.

What sets Pro Football Camp apart from all other youth football camps is that it is truly taught by current and former NFL, XFL & UFL athletes! They lead the skills & drills and give hands-on corrections and encouragement. Additionally, they lead the “Off the Field with the Pros” sessions three times each day where the athletes share the character that it takes to make it to the highest level by demonstrating and sharing their stories of perseverance, hard work, overcoming adversity, etc.

Pro Football Camp has truly been a blessing from God. Sure we’ve had our challenges but none that were not overcome-able with hard work, tenacity, dedication and faith in God’s provision. During the Pandemic of 2020, Pro Football Camp was still held with more than 250 campers participating. Our team asked ourselves, “How can we host this camp?” versus just taking the easy road and cancelling. We understand the impact that this camp has on kids and we also knew kids…and families….needed this more than ever!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Colorado Springs has sooooo much to offer. When friends come to visit here are our MUST SEE, DO & EAT at places! – Garden of the Gods hike during the morning hours and a sunrise from a high perch looking East.
– numerous hikes: Red Rocks, Spruce Mountain, Seven Falls, Mount Herman, Section 16, the Incline, and many others
– Back East Bar & Grill for a delicious meal, drink and dancing
– Salsa Brava for delicious Mexican food and a gorgeous view of the front range!
– Parry’s Pizza for a sunset view of the mountains and yummy pizza

There are so many fun spots that depending on their interests, we would go to:
– the Broadmoor — gotta eat at their Italian Restaurant and stroll around the lake!
– Cliff Dwellings and Crystal Park Cantina in Manitou Springs. Grab a bottle of fresh spring water from one of 7 fresh springs!
– Skirted Hefer or Bingo Burger downtown and then hit either a show at Pikes Peak Center, the Olympic Museum or a soccer game
– long bike ride or walk on Santa Fe Trail including the stretch on the Air Force Academy

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The Pro Football Camp would not happen without the current and former NFL athletes who donate their time to coach at the camp and the hundred-plus volunteers who give graciously of their time. This is truly a community event run by people who graciously give of their time and energy to encourage and inspire youth to be the very best athletes and people they can be!

Pro Football Camp is a true non-profit organization. It is through the gracious donation of Colorado Institute of Sports Medicine (CISM) who provides a sizable donation every year that enables us to offer the camp for $99 per camper. Additionally, for the kids and families who need financial assistance, Springs Dentistry, AMOS, Classic Homes, Hope Homes and Colorado Springs Sports Corp give generously to the Pro Football Camp Scholarship Program that provides full or partial scholarships to kids in need so that all kids can attend the three-day camp. We couldn’t provide this camp without the in-kind donations of Bodcraft, Daniels Long Chevrolet, Back East Bar & Grill, Mateo’s, Chuy’s, Salsa Brava, Qwench, Parry’s, SparksWillson Law Firm, and Gatorade.

Finally, our team is blessed by the leadership and talents of Heidi Welge, Associate Executive Director. She’s truly phenomenal and instrumental to the Pro Football Camp’s impact on kids and this community.
