We had the good fortune of connecting with Tra Urban and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tra, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
My first 40 year were spent moving forward so quickly I was unable to enjoy or participate in the moment. After suffering paralysis my life quickly shifted to the complete opposite. After surviving the dark night of the soul, I perceived life in a new way. I realized that my emotional, mental and spiritual body were existing separately from my physical body. When I was able to gather my pieces so we all work in harmony I began Living My BEST Life!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am here to assist others in Self-Actualizing their Best Life. Having experienced endless opportunities to grow and learn has given me the wisdom and experience to guide others to a smooth, gentle, comfortable and harmonious life. I left home at 15 and never turned back. I was able to self educate and with a hunger for knowledge I organized and conquered every position I ever held. I have simultaneously maintained a job with the State of Colorado for 17 years while day trading stocks, maintaining multiple rental properties, sitting on multiple boards in addition to being team mom for 2 different teams. YES it was hard! After historically quitting all jobs by 18 months I decided I should find a job that I could move around so I started in the mailroom at the State of Colorado and worked my way up to Network Analyst in a mans world.
I am grateful to have been paralyzed! Now I move forward in a self aware, comfortable forward motion. I was told I would never walk again without assistance but I chose not to subscribe to that diagnosis. I not only walk without assistance now, I dance, ride my motorcycle and pretty much anything else I desire.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love Casa Bonita for it’s amazing décor. Sadly covid shut down several of my favorite restaurants 🙁 Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar is always delicious, Siagon Basil has the best Vietnamese food. I’m not into chain restaurants but for some activity Boondocks is a good time. I love Water World (when its open), skiing, a walk through Dinosaur Ridge is beautiful then a yummy lunch in Morrison. I love all the Hot Springs!!! My favorite is Pagosa Springs then Iron Mountain Hot Springs but for a quick adventure Idaho Springs will do.
Ouray is my favorite Colorado town. Oh I could go on and on.
I am a native and supported all the drivers license and motor vehicle offices across the state so I have seen experienced a lot, I have traveled the world and can say with confidence that I would never live anywhere else.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Dr. Joy “Granddaughter Crow” Gray is who I refer to as the crust to my pie of Life! Her gentle wisdom and healing sessions helped me find myself, gather my pieces so I could become the person I am today.
