Meet Triet Hoang: Communication Consultant

We had the good fortune of connecting with Triet Hoang and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Triet, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Honestly, when I had a 9-5 job, I focused more on work than having that balance in my life. I tend to put everything second to what I thought was my career at the time. It wasn’t till I met my wife that I was able to see beyond the work. She would encourage and planned family and friend events and was always looking for ways we can all spend time together. As I transitioned from my 9-5 to my master’s program at D.U. and now to my business, Mr. Good-All, I made sure balance is a priority. Of course, that still includes long hours and staying up late working on projects or learning new skills. I’ve learned to take 20-30 minute breaks between Zoom calls, project planning, and other work-related tasks to regroup. This whole journey is a marathon, and proper rest and balance are needed to enjoy your fruit of labor.
What should our readers know about your business?
I started my communication consultant business, Mr. Good-All, in February 2019 to help individuals and businesses get their creative projects off the ground while effectively communicating their brand to their audiences. The concept behind the name is that I can only get you to “good.” You, yourself, will have to put in the work to reach greatness. The “All” is a combination of all the skills that I acquired over the years from vastly different professions and blended together to help others succeed in their creative pursuits. Whether it is starting a podcast, communicating to their audiences through online platforms, or understanding how to communicate their brand to their audiences, I help guide them from beginning to end. I love listening to individuals’ ideas and their passion and assisting them in achieving their goals. I believe it requires a blend of business fundamentals and creative experiences to understand and help individuals address their difficulties.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For a week-long trip, I would recommend getting Carne Asada Fries at Tacos Rapidos, any time of the day. They are open 24/7. Must have tacos at Taqueria El Gallito, great price for authentic tacos. Lastly, visit Max Gill & Grill for seafood! While driving around town, listen to Hangout Talks Podcast to set up the hangout mood throughout your visit. Take dance classes at the Bboy factory, and visit any of the snow resorts for great snowboarding and skiing. My favorite is Winterpark and Cooper Mountain.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have such a long list of individuals and books that helped me to where I am today. It will be take days for me to finish appreciating everyone. To keep short for this shoutout. First is my family, who gives me a roof over my head and food on the table. My wife Elainna and dog Enkei, they taught me patience and that there is so much more to life than work. My close friends who always strive to make the best of every situation and to provide me the inspiration and motivation to continue pursuing my goals. Lastly, the book Decisive by the Heath Brothers and Dare To Lead by Brene Brown. These books changed my life.
