We had the good fortune of connecting with Wayne Mitchell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Wayne, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I retired from the army after 21.5 years, then I went to school for pharmacy technician. Became a certified pharmacy tech and began working at a hospital here in Co springs. I really liked the job but the work ethic of coworkers honestly made my mind up for me and I started a lawn care business that was pretty successful but then I was introduced into the realm of travel and I hadn’t looked back

What should our readers know about your business?
Elite Travel Adventures is a veteran-owned travel agency that specializes in all-inclusive Caribbean getaways, cruises, Disney vacations, and guided tours across Europe and South America. We take pride in offering personalized service, expert travel planning, and unforgettable experiences for families, couples, groups, and solo travelers.

Our mission is simple: to help clients travel better by handling all the details so they can focus on the adventure.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Sunday- Travel day so relax

Thursday- Ribs and Chops
Friday- Cowboy Star
Saturday- Pack and AI for dinner

My family. Everything I do is to make sure my family has a better life! I deal with mental health issues and it can be alot for them to deal with and they still put up with me 🙂
