We had the good fortune of connecting with Wendy Bradshaw and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Wendy, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Move Your Soul with Wendy began as a response to an undeniable pull toward creating something deeply meaningful. After years of leading classes, retreats, and sacred women’s circles for others, it became clear that the path forward needed to be one rooted in soul-aligned purpose, not just supporting someone else’s vision.

The intention was never just to offer movement. It was to create safe, sacred spaces where women could heal, awaken their intuition, and reconnect with their inner wisdom through embodied practices and soulful rituals. Sacred women’s circles became a cornerstone, places where vulnerability is honored, stories are shared, and transformation begins.

This business was born from lived experiences of heartbreak, healing, and spiritual initiation. It is a container for deep feminine work, where women are invited to release what no longer empowers, reclaim their light, and remember the truth of who they are. Starting my own business was about answering that call with integrity, freedom, and love but most of all to know you are never alone.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My work is rooted in the sacred feminine. Through Move Your Soul with Wendy, I guide women through embodied healing experiences including retreats, sacred women’s circles, and intuitive movement journeys, sound healing, yoga and meditation that help them reconnect with their truth, reclaim their power, and remember who they are beneath the layers.

What sets my work apart is the depth of soul I bring to each offering. Every dance, every ritual, every circle is created with intention and reverence. This isn’t just movement or mindfulness. It is a sacred return to the body as temple, to the heart as compass, and to community as medicine. I weave together somatic practices, spiritual wisdom, and shamanic tools in a way that feels ancient and alive.

I’m most proud of the women I’ve witnessed rise. Women who have walked through grief, heartbreak, or burnout and found their radiance again in circle, in movement, in sacred sisterhood. That is the heart of my work. Reminding each woman that she’s not alone, that her healing is holy, and that joy is her birthright.

Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy. I lost a dance studio, a yoga center, a longtime relationship, and a role I poured my heart into all within a short window of time. But I believe that everything that fell away cleared the path for what was truly meant for me. I rebuilt not just a business, but a life that is aligned with my soul.

The biggest lessons? Trust your inner voice. Honor your cycles. Let the breakdowns be invitations. And never underestimate the healing power of being seen and held in a safe space.

What I want the world to know is that Move Your Soul with Wendy is not about performance or perfection. It is about presence. It is about coming as you are, letting the music move what words cannot, and finding your way back home to yourself again and again.

This is more than work. It is a calling. And I’m grateful every day to walk this path.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to visit, I’d want to give her a week of beauty, soul, and connection, wrapped in nature, laughter, sacred stillness, and good local food. The San Luis Valley holds my heart, and there’s no better place to slow down, breathe deep, and remember what matters.
Day 1: Arrival + Land Blessing
We’d begin with a simple grounding ritual, barefoot on the earth, smudging with sage or sweetgrass, and offering gratitude to the land. Dinner would be home-cooked, followed by a sunset walk through wide-open fields or beside a creek.
Day 2: Joyful Journey Hot Springs
We’d spend the full day soaking at Joyful Journey Hot Springs; my sacred place for retreat and renewal. With views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and endless sky, we’d float, rest, reflect, and let the hot waters do their work. Journals in hand, we’d end the day wrapped in blankets watching the stars rise.
Day 3: Sacred Sites + Soul Talk
We’d visit Zapata Falls for a short hike and cold misty waterfall magic, and then continue to the Great Sand Dunes for barefoot walking meditation across the golden dunes. Dinner would be something cozy and casual in Crestone, perhaps at Desert Sage Restaurant, followed by an evening fire and heart talk under the stars.
Day 4: Movement + Medicine
We’d begin with a sacred dance session—blindfolds, music, and movement from the soul. Then perhaps a nourishing Yin Yoga or sound healing practice to balance it out. A home made picnic lunch. The rest of the day would be for resting, reading, and being.
Day 5: Art + Connection
We’d explore the rich creative energy of the valley—visiting Crestone Artisans Gallery, local pottery studios, or catching a community drum circle. We’d create something ourselves, painting, soul art, or crafting prayer flags. Dinner would be shared with close friends, good conversation, and lots of laughter.
Day 6: Sacred Ceremony
A day for ceremony and reflection. We’d co-create a small ritual, maybe a fire ceremony, a water blessing, or simply holding space for one another. We’d speak our intentions, let go of what no longer serves, and celebrate where we are on our paths. Dinner would be nourishing and intentional, eaten slowly, with gratitude.
Day 7: Integration + Farewell
The final morning would be for soaking one last time, walking in silence, or sitting with tea. We’d share what we’re taking home in our hearts and seal the week with a closing circle. This wouldn’t be a goodbye, but a blessing for whatever comes next.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
So many souls have walked beside me, but if I had to dedicate this shoutout, it would be to the women who have sat in circle with me over the years; those who have shown up in their rawness, in their beauty, in their grief and joy, and trusted me to hold space for their transformation. Their courage has shaped me.

I also want to honor my mentors in the sacred arts—teachers of dance, yoga, shamanic practices, and feminine spirituality, who reminded me that healing doesn’t have to look like striving. It can look like surrender, movement, breath, and truth.

And lastly, to Joyful Journey Hot Springs, where I’ve held retreats since 2013. That land has been a sacred partner in my journey. It’s where I’ve cried, danced, released, and remembered. The energy of that space holds every step of my story.

My path has been anything but linear, and I truly wouldn’t be here without the support and reflection of others along the way.
