We had the good fortune of connecting with Yuki Tojo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Yuki, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Habits for success that helped me with my private practice would have to be hard work, commitment, and persistence. These three things have helped immensely in a lot of areas in my life from relationships, being in the Army, and in my hobby of competitive bodybuilding.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a Massage therapist, and personal trainer. In my practice I know peers have to be knowledgeable about basic human anatomy, however I’ve taken it a step further by educating myself on how to strengthen the body to reduce pain, and accelerate recovery all while boosting mood and self esteem to enrich everyday life.

In my career path I have many moments I feel proud of, but I actually am proud after every treatment I do because my clients always leaving feeling more capable to get back to their everyday lives. Also I’ve helped one of my good friends lose over 100 lbs and enter his first ever physique competition and WIN!

It took sometime for me to get the ball rolling in my practice. I’d say the first 1-2 years were the hardest just because I was fresh into this field with no prior business knowledge, but just put my heart and soul into my practice and my vision. I started out only having a couple clients every couple weeks, to now being booked out weeks/ months in advance.

I’ve learned a lot running my own gig. Biggest one being is if someone is really committed to changing their habits/the way they feel or look they will do whatever it takes to get 1% better everyday.

I just want everyone to know I’m just like them. Just a person chasing a big dream doing what I can to get closer to it everyday!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If any of my friends know me they know I’m a huge gym rat so of course I’d have to take them to the BEST gym in the country Armbrust pro gym! Nothing like a great workout to kick off a visit to CO. If we sold our souls we would be able to get a RSVP at the one and only Casa Bonita, but with that being nearly impossible I’d take them to Tacos Tequila Whiskey in the Highlands for some great food and cocktails. Then some bar hopping in the RINO district is a must. Improper city is one of my favorite spots to get a refreshing paloma or hibiscus margarita!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shout out to Ashley Wilson who is a long time client of mine. Along with all of my other wonderful clients who come to me!

And of course my beautiful girlfriend, family, and friends!

Without all these people I wouldn’t be where I am today!
