I don’t think the average person thinks much about adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities unless they have a direct connection, even though roughly 3% of the population is impacted by an IDD. I am not even sure my own family really knows what I do day to day. How much hustle is really involved to make a photography career work. My highlight reel (i.e.: Instagram) has shown me photographing incredible bands, festivals and taking underwater images all over the globe – however not all of these shoots are funded by clients. Sometimes I trade photos for AAA access to an event, so I can get photos other media photographers won’t.
