We had the good fortune of connecting with Lawrence Beard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lawrence, what do you want people to remember about you?
I would love for my legacy to be compassion and positivity. I always had a vision of being able to help people in some way. Growing up a dark skinned, African American male in the United States has definitely shaped the way I view life and appreciate every moment of it. No matter what happens in my life I desire to be part of Black History, no excuses, no exceptions.

I would love to be remembered for my humor, love, compassion, and the fact I was never scared to be myself and be different. I know I will always be remembered for my choice to live a sober life. I’m 29 and I’ve never been drunk, high, or under the influence of anything ever. People will always remember I’ve always chosen to be unapologetically me.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I’d say what sets me apart from others is my willingness to learn. I’m always trying to improve and do better. Don’t get me wrong I have been hardheaded at times but I’ve come around and grown alot when it comes to criticism and learning. I am mostly excited about a TV Series that I am going to play a huge roll in shooting and editing. I also am pretty sure that some of my music will be in it as well. Super excited for that.

I got to where I am today professionally by someone else ruining a project that I had wanted to put out so bad. I had recorded a song with some friends and wanted so bad to do a video! When we got there the videographer was close to 2 hours late and didn’t bring any lights so that degraded the quality of the whole video. That was the day I knew I had to pick the camera up and start doing it myself. It was not easy, I have went through countless trials and errors. I overcame those challenges through perseverance. I pray a lot and I also speak with my older sister about what decisions would be best for me personally and business wise.

The hardest lesson I had to learn is that your biggest support will not come from your friends. Sometimes you will want something way more than someone else does regardless of how much time and effort you put into them.

I want the world to know that eye.witnessvisuals is here to create something enjoyable for the eye as well as an entire experience. I usually go with a cinematic look that is cut to the beat of the song. I play several instruments and been around music for 21 years straight so I love the entire creative process of it all.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely have to go to Scalzotto’s in Broomfield, I love italian food and that is also a close friends parent’s restaurant. I would also go to Church’s Chicken because why not dude, I love to keep it simple. I would love for them to meet all the people I work with, all the artists and the creative spaces I find myself in. Definitely would have to take a trip to Telluride, Trinidad, or Ouray. Somewhere that’s off the radar with not a HUGE city vibe. Everyone wants to check out downtown Denver so we would definitely come out and walk around. Shoot a random video, do a random photoshoot.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Definitely need to shout out Pancho the CEO of Young Star here in Denver, CO. Big P (his dad) and Pancho helped me out financially, mentally, and personally. Not only did they help me, but they also believed in me. Put money in my hand based off of a conversation.

AbdullahGang Entertainment from New Jersey but they live in Denver, CO as well. They are not only family but they also pushed me and helped me to do better as well as invested in some of my favorite equipment I still use to this day.

Troy Good Music has definitely influenced me and got me in front of some of the biggest shows I’ve ever been around. Always good vibes and definitely always important to me.

Rachel Bailey and the whole BAE Gang! They’ve always included me in their progress and success. Always a special place in my heart along with my friends from Barbershop Uncut and my guy A Meazy.

Can’t forget about the biggest part of my support system, my older sister Jamilah and my older cousin Natasha. They always give me ideas as well as support my own music and music videos. There’s so many more too!

Can’t forget to shoutout one of my closest videography partners and brother HeyyAyyOne!!!!!
