We had the good fortune of connecting with Nick Pelc and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nick, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
The amount of work that it takes to be an artist, engineer, producer or anyone in the music industry. You will spend hours upon hours in the studio. In my eyes its a numbers game now. the idea of making one perfect song is dead. You have to create tons and tons. One of them might hit.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have been in business with Augminished Studio for a little over 10 years now. I believe what sets my business apart is the quality. No one else in Colorado can deliver the same quality for the price I offer. The workflow is crucial for artists. The speed at which an engineer can perform at is crucial as well as being able to tap in with an artists needs and wants. This is not an easy industry to build in. A lot of people lack loyalty. It separates the ones that are loyal though and those are the ones that will make it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would say it depends on the time of year. But going up to the mountains is crucial as well as Red Rocks.
