We had the good fortune of connecting with Cody & Janis Wille and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cody & Janis, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Boho Disco was born out of love with the intention to bring more joy and fun to our community! While planning our wedding we combined our passions. We created and facilitated a 60 person Bohemian style picnic for the rehearsal dinner. We also created a LED light up dance floor that syncs with music for our reception. Our wedding was a day to remember! Following the wedding we had the idea to share these creations with our community: Bohemian Picnics and Disco Dance Parties! Another intention for starting this business is to take any profits and start a college savings account for our future baby Wille!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Cody is a music producer and the creative genius behind our LED light up dance floor. He is talented in making electronic funk music and performed with one of his bands called Signal Path at Red Rocks in 2013. Janis is an Expressive Arts Therapist and the designer of our immersive bohemian picnics. Janis has a private practice in Louisville, CO where she supports individuals with mental health challenges with the help of the expressive arts and sound healing. Together we have fun supporting others in the community in planning their upcoming special event. Whether it’s a romantic picnic for two, or a once in a lifetime celebration. Boho Disco can help make it an unforgettable experience!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Boho Disco is partnered with Organic Sandwich company (https://www.organicsandwichco.com/). They have delicious sandwiches, salads and soups made from nutrient dense ingredients produced locally. There are two locations: one in Boulder and one in Louisville. We are also partnered with Snarky Sweet Cake Chick (https://snarkysweetcakechick.com/). Nicole designs the yummiest cupcakes and the most creative cakes. For the most beautiful flowers, we work with Lana over at Vetka Flowers in Superior (https://vetkaflowers.com/).

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We would love to thank our families and friends that made our bohemian style rehearsal dinner, wedding day, and disco dance party reception the most amazing experience. Because all of you shared how much fun you had, we were inspired to put in the effort of starting this business. Community and our loved ones are what make life enjoyable!
