Meet Brittany Stuart | Life Coach & Holistic Therapeutic Art Facilitator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Stuart and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My business was born out of my own need for therapeutic art. I had no idea that Art Therapy was an actual degree. I just knew that art helped me cope in a dark season, and I was a product of therapeutic art.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Whether I am holding 1:1 coaching sessions, or hosting a larger workshop, my goal is to always encourage women to let go and have fun. I set up situations where women can feel safe enough to make messes, and not stress about the end product. My hope is to show anyone that you can use art to not only make beauty, but find freedom, emotional mastery, and insight into your own God given wisdom.
My road to get here was not easy, and still, I have my own speed bumps still. I walked through seasons of deep depression, to post partum anxiety, all the way to finding that my history of brain injuries were causing some serious health issues. My art space, “Dear Norelle,” is a ‘love letter’ to my kids. That though life is hard, you can still overcome and make beauty through the ashes.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So I love Old North End in Colorado Springs. I live way up by Castle Rock, but the drive is so worth it. Even with 3 kids, my husband and I adore going to White Pie pizza for some deep dish sourdough, going to Building 3 coffee in the Lincoln School, or just hiking through Garden of the Gods or Red Rocks open space.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people that have made a huge impact in my life, but creatively speaking there a few that have inspired me in the way they live what they teach. My husband, Justin, who has had a successful Youtube channel with his best friend for over a decade with millions of followers on multiple channels and a group of employees. He has been my biggest supporter and shown me what dreaming truly looks like when it is paired with bold and brave action.
The other person is my Aunt, Becky Strahle. She is one of those people that you look at and she just drips authentic creativity. She hangs her own art work in her home, believes in her capabilities, and celebrates her wins. I think a lot of people can learn from that confidence, as I sure have. She is constantly learning new mediums like pottery, pastels, and recently just self published a children’s book, “My Forever Home.”
