I pursued a creative career because it’s something I’ve always wanted, but for a long time, it never felt possible. Growing up, I believed I had missed my chance to be a dancer because I didn’t start at five years old like everyone else seemed to. That belief stuck with me for years. But in my 20s, something shifted. I began to realize it’s never too late to chase what you are passionate about. The first thought that came to mind was performing at this talent show my high school ran. It was my senior year, and I decided to play “Sweet Caroline”. I was nervous until the crowd immediately started singing along. It was that feeling of providing this group of strangers and friends an experience that makes them forget where they are. Being able to entertain and make people dance or smile is an experience I’m always chasing, and that started at that talent show. Read More>>

To put it simply, because I couldn’t imagine doing anything else.

Throughout my life, all of my interests have been creative. When I was five I started playing piano, first arduously learning the notes on the staff, then tapping out my own melodies on the keyboard. In grade school I went to ‘art class’ in a local woman’s basement, where I would endure a quick art history lesson before beginning the wonderful process of crafting a new project. Since I was a child, I’ve always been drawn to art — not just as a hobby, but as a way to process the world and express what I couldn’t always put into words. Creating was my safe space.
