Meet Sharayah Beecham | Reiki Therapist and Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sharayah Beecham and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Sharayah, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
As I have built my business the last 5 years, I have genuinely struggled with this question. There have been many times I thought to myself that I’m crazy to keep going forward especially when I’m not seeing the fruits of my labor. Yet, I have this “fire in my belly” that is this indescribable force of determination. It’s continues to push me forward even when everything in me wants to give up. It constantly reminds me of the why of my work, who I am serving and how this supports my greater purpose in being on this Earth. If I didn’t have this knowing in my gut, I definitely would have given up a long time ago.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Do you remember a time where you’ve been wrestling with something internally and you tell a friend about it and they say, “what if you looked at it this way?” That’s me, I’m that person. I have the gift of asking questions, listening with my whole body, and offering different ways of looking at life’s challenges. As I have grown my business the last several years, I have heard over and over from clients, “I never thought of it that way. I feel so much lighter. I’m leaving with a better perspective.” I feel so honored to be a part of many different people’s support systems. As humans, we really need to feel like we are not crazy, that what we experience is normal, and that we can come back to a sense of ourselves.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a nature lover so I’d be outside either paddle boarding on Horsetooth Reservoir, hiking Lory State Park, or rafting down the Poudre River. Some of my favorite local restaurants are JJ’s Pizza, Taco Stop, and Jax Fish House. If there is good music playing we’d also go up to Mishawaka, the outdoor amphitheater up Poudre Canyon.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband has a been a tremendous source of support and love the last five years. He has stood by when doubts, triumphs, fears and joys have prevailed. He’s been there for every successful milestone and breakdown I have had. I’m truly grateful for his presence in my life.
