Meet Paul Magarelli | Medical and Lab Director CNY Fertility Colorado

We had the good fortune of connecting with Paul Magarelli and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Paul, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Infertility care requires a unique combination of science, culture, and medicine to achieve results, aka One healthy baby! I studied to become a reproductive scientist as a Ph.D. in marine animal reproduction and moved to human reproduction for the challenge. While in medical school I received a scholarship from the department of psychiatry because of my skills in interpersonal communication and my passion for advocating for patients. My undergraduate studies were in Community Health Education, focusing on the interplay between doctors and patients. As a scientist, I worked for General Mills and keenly understood bottom line (net profit) application of scientific procedures. So, it was natural that I would become a private practitioner in any field I pursued. Also, naturally my background allowed me to succeed in my own business.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is making babies in the most affordable, personal, and effective ways possible. I pride myself on the use of scientific knowledge to apply to complex reproductive issues. Getting to the point of working with my best friend Dr Robert Kiltz, CNY, was a journey of decades. We both believe that making fertility care affordable and effective is sorely missing today and that we will pioneer ways and means to achieve that goal. Persistence and perseverance in the face of what appears to be insurmountable obstacles would be my motto. Belief and trust in myself allow me to continue and grow. Our brand represents patients’ best hope for quality, compassionate care with folks who will listen and learn from them – we consider our patients partners in their care!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Trip to the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. The place is magical and memorable. Likely a hike down Monument Trail and a drive up to Pikes Peak would be a full day. Then dinner at the Cowboy Star restaurant in Colorado Springs for a wonderful “meaty” extravaganza with excellent service, especially if you can get Chris as your waiter! Then a sit on my porch to look at the stars over a nice glass of wine.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My wife, Dr. Diane K Cridennda, and my mom Dr. Ann Arrigo. Two amazing women – strength, vitality, compassion, discipline, and immense capacity to love.
