Meet Alex Sage | Graphic Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Sage and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alex, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Connection! I wanted to become a graphic designer to be able to give brands a voice. For me this means really getting to know who I am working with, what their story is and how I can help elevate the impact they want to leave.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I also work in marketing so I am always thinking of every aspect when designing which I think is so important. I love getting to be creative just as much as I love to work through the psychology of a brand.
I got to where I am today by trying a little of everything along the way. It wasn’t easy to feel lost in not knowing “what I wanted to do” but in that I got to learn a lot of what I don’t want to do. The people I want to work with and the people i don’t. The projects that light my fire and the things that aren’t a good fit.
In my wandering journey I learned how much I wanted to help uplift others and their passions, visions and dreams.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My background is in craft beer so of course our weekend would be centered around beer and art! I would take my art loving friends on a little Ft. Collins walking mural tour stopping at all the best craft breweries in between. We would likely take a trip down to Denver to visit the infamous Meow Wolf. My favorite part being the interactive room before you actual enter the exhibit. We would be on the hunt trying to new places to find the best desserts and ice cream around!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am fortunate to have a whole string of amazing supportive people in my life but today I would like to shout out friend Cody Butters. While working for her in my younger years she always encouraged me to go back to school. She stressed the importance of it never being too late and made me feel like I can go be anyone and do anything. This lead me down a road to explore what kind of career I really wanted do.
