Meet Amanda Conti

We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Conti and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amanda, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think of risk as one of life’s greatest teachers. I’ve learned that growth rarely comes wrapped in comfort. The moments that have shaped me most were never the easiest — they were the ones that asked me to trust the unknown. Every time I’ve stepped into uncertainty — whether returning to work after years as a stay-at-home mom or shifting from a career in healthcare to a path rooted in yoga and fitness — it’s expanded my sense of what’s possible. It takes courage to follow a calling without a clear roadmap, but I’ve learned that the resistance we feel before we leap is often the very doorway that leads to our growth and freedom. Risk has taught me to trust my intuition, to honor that inner voice that whispers “this matters” even when it’s uncertain where it will lead.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My career has unfolded in beautifully unexpected ways. Ten years ago, I completed a seven-day, 570-mile bike ride up the California coast as part of a fundraiser for pediatric cancer. During those long, quiet miles, I sensed a deeper calling — a desire to explore not just physical strength, but mental resilience and the quieter, more spiritual side of being human. That curiosity led me to yoga, where I discovered a practice that could bridge all of those elements.
What sets my work apart is how I blend worlds — science and soul, strength and softness. As both an E-RYT 500 yoga teacher and Certified Personal Trainer, I meet people where they are, whether that’s coaching a high-energy Orangetheory class or teaching in a still, meditative yoga space.
My intention is always to help people feel stronger in their bodies, steadier in their minds, and more deeply connected to themselves.
The path hasn’t been easy, but it’s been profoundly meaningful. There have been seasons of uncertainty and self-doubt, but each challenge has reminded me to trust the process: to choose alignment over approval, and to see resilience not as never falling, but as rising each time with greater clarity and compassion.
What I most want people to know about my story is that it’s rooted in connection and courage. Whether I’m teaching on the yoga mat, leading a training, or coaching in the studio, my purpose is to help others feel at home in their bodies and alive in their lives. I truly believe that when we move and breathe with awareness, we reconnect with who we are — and that awareness has the power to change everything.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit, I’d want them to experience the Colorado I love — that perfect mix of mountains, movement, and mindful moments. We’d start locally in Castle Rock with a morning hike, brunch at a favorite café, and an evening in historic downtown for a bite to eat and a walk through Festival Park to soak in the small-town charm.
We’d spend a day or two in Denver exploring RiNo’s street art and markets, wandering the Botanic Gardens, and ending the day with dinner somewhere creative and full of life. A mountain day would be a must — maybe Boulder or Golden for a scenic hike, great food, and fresh mountain air.
Midweek, we’d slow things down with some yoga, a little spa time, and a cozy dinner with friends full of stories and laughter. And before the trip ended, we’d add one last adventure with live music under the stars at Red Rocks or zip lining through the Castle Rock canyons.
Colorado has this beautiful balance of energy and stillness, adventure and reflection — and I’d want my friend to feel both. To breathe it all in and carry a little of Colorado’s magic home with them.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Conti, an inspiring yoga teacher, Orangetheory Fitness coach, and mentor based in Castle Rock, CO. As an E-RYT 500, YACEP, Certified Personal Trainer, and one of the lead teachers for both the 200-hour and 300-hour Yoga Teacher Trainings at Buka Yoga, Amanda has dedicated her life to helping others find balance, resilience, and authenticity through movement and mindfulness. Her work extends beyond the studio — she’s also taught yoga and resilience training to public safety and military personnel. Rooted in compassion, curiosity, and community, Amanda embodies what it means to live with intention and to guide others toward their own inner strength.
I’d love to dedicate my shoutout to the communities and people who have shaped me along the way. My yoga mentors and fellow teachers have shown me that this practice is a lifelong journey of learning and humility. The students I’ve had the honor to guide — especially through our Yoga Teacher Trainings and in the public safety and military communities — have taught me so much about courage, resilience, and the power of presence.
I’m endlessly grateful for my three kids, who remind me every day to stay curious, grounded, and kind. And to my co-parent, who helps me model to our children what it means to walk through life’s changes with respect and grace. Each of these people and communities has helped me see that we grow best when we grow together.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that growth comes from leaning into the discomfort, staying open, curious, and willing to begin again, no matter how many times it takes. Every class I teach and every person I meet reminds me that we’re all just walking each other home to ourselves. I’m deeply grateful to do this work and to keep learning alongside such incredible humans.
