We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrew Ybarra and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Andrew, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When I started Lifted AV Productions, I had 2 things on my mind. First, I wanted to do things my way, I had been a part of the audio-visual industry for over 10 years and saw how things can be improved from the bottom up. Secondly, I wanted freedom. I wanted to be able to build something for myself, to live on my own terms, and to be responsible for myself and my own success.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I founded Lifted AV Productions to support coaches and entrepreneurs with their events. I chose to focus on events that are based on self-development, personal growth, and small businesses specifically, because these events changed my life. After running events for years I was touched by the lives of courageous individuals who wanted more for themselves, their communities, and the world. Their dedication inspired me to join them on the entrepreneurial path, and growing as individuals in the process.
I have overcome many challenges and still do on a daily basis, but I have come to enjoy those challenges because with each step forward I celebrate, and with each step back I learn. Of all the many lessons I have learned along the way, my biggest is, be the most you you can be, because the world desperately needs more people who are truly themselves.
I do things differently, I support my clients fully because I believe in them and the power of events. Events changed my life for the better and I see the impact it has on the lives of millions of people who step into more.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Id like to dedicate my shoutout to all my mentors. Ive had many over the years, specifically my first paid mentors Mark & Shannon Grainger of Big Impact. They challenged me and believed in me from the very beginning. And most importantly I want to shoutout my Tio, Leonard Ybarra. I learned so much of what I know in AV from him, and he has consistently been there to support me in growing my business. I wouldnt be where I am now without him and his guidance. And to everyone that has supported me, believed in me, challenged me, and been on the journey with me, thank you from the bottom of my heart!
